Here are things that have happened since the last time I posted on LJ:
- Got all 4 of my wisdom teeth extracted last Monday.
- Was an extra in a Pure Michigan commercial.
- David had a gig in Ann Arbor.
- Finished my summer class and have the rest of the summer to work and HAVE FUN.
- Astro is now 7 months old (I think?) and weighs 21 pounds!
- Ummm. . . Had a photo shoot but I think that was before my last entry.
- Me and David got married! Just kidding. :D
ANYWAY, I am so happy that I am done with school and all school-related activities for the rest of the summer. Field bio from 6-10 AM, 3 days a week? Uh, yeah, no thanks. I got a B-, which is some kind of crazy Jesus miracle, because I spent practically no time on studying or homework outside of class unless it was the night before an exam. In which case I devoted maybe 4 hours to half-assedly filling in my field notebook before getting bored and going to bed. I registered for the fall today and I am taking 5 classes, one of them is a 400-level class and the rest are at the 100-level. Seriously? Ummm. . . I am a senior. I HATE U of M Dearborn because all of the upper level classes only have one section, and for some reason they are all scheduled at the same time on the same day. I am only 4 classes away from graduating, but at this rate I won't be able to walk until next winter because I can only take one required class per semester. BLARGH! So frustrating.
In the meantime, work is still fun, although I have lost my enthusiasm for cleaning and rearranging the store every time I work. The hours are good, the pay is good, but I need something on the side to keep things interesting. I was an extra in a commercial a couple of weeks ago and it was fun and exciting and definitely something different. For a 12+ hour day the pay should be fantastic, but I'm still waiting for my check. :(
If I do a handful of commercial and/or print jobs a year I'll make plenty of money to support my shopping addiction, haha. And I'll be able to save everything I make at the shoe store! Maybe. Money stresses me out.
I can't wait to graduate and be done with school. I have no idea what I want to do with my degree, what kind of job I see myself diving into. Having classes 4 days I week from morning 'till night is just so inconvenient, especially when I want a 9-5, yearly salary kind of job. Meh.
