it's this sick game we play
where we hate and we run
and when we can't get away
we reach back together
and we argue
over who is more ill
always claiming ourselves;

a means to mend.

i'm always guilty
in the worst way
because i lack control
which i don't want or need
for the sake of pleasant living
though i'd rather.

we'll keep ourselves locked here forever
if we don't get out soon.
