It's been a busy week as I stayed up late several times to work on knitting and crochet designs. I'm still slowly working on my knitted hat design, which I think will go well (but SLOW). But the crochet is DONE!
As previously mentioned, the first design was cupping too badly, so I reworked it. I set it aside, though, because it didn't meet my vision. I had an idea for another hat (a band of hearts surrounded by pink) but that one didn't work out, either.
But then I had my third idea, and I am tickled to say it worked out just fine and completely came out how I envisioned it would. Squee! And then I had a FOURTH idea, for a hat with cables and shells, and that one came out, too!
Well, I did it! I published my
Cables & Shells Hat yesterday on Ravelry (after setting up a new email address and Paypal account), and today published my
Fireworks Beanie. I also posted a free pattern for an afghan square,
Fan Dance Square.
So I'm a published designer! Yay!
I'm not expecting much money from this. I think I would be thrilled if I sold ten hats. I hope I get my first sale soon.
