how do you use YOUR userpics?

Happy Friday!

So I'm thinking about this 100 userpic thing. I might actually want to add some more. Doubt I'll get up to 100, but a few more would be nice.

Like, I know I want a *gronk* and a *squee!* icon. But I'm not sure what else I need. Hmm. What do I have now, and how do I use it?

eh, i only have 3, so i barely count (and i really need to change them, i didn't end up with the ones i wanted when my paid acct expired...) but i use the "dork" one when i am being a spaz and the "science!" one when i am being a biology nerd, and i use the other one (fire initial) pretty much all the time (i very rarely use the other 2). when i had more icons i certainly did have specific ones to use for specific situations. i wish i had more icons again, maybe i should just suck it up and pay to upgrade, i need to alter my mood theme anyway, some of them are too big. but there is no way i could ever make/use/need 100 icons, haha! i'd never know which to pick!

Everyone needs a Justin/Pansy.

Especially these days.

I use some for emotions (I need some more cheerful ones, I find that most of mine are too solemn or sad for general commenting), some for content/context, some I use for certain people because I know I like them. But I generally match up my post icons with the subject, and often do the same for comments - I at least make sure the icon is somewhat appropriate to what I'm saying. However, I often answer comments from my e-mail, which only lets me use the default, so it gets overused if I forget or am too lazy/in too much of a hurry to go to the page to comment.

I just have the three entitled to an unpaid account. I always have one for positive posts (really only used for super-happy posts), one for negative posts, and a default for neutral posts. Since they're just labled negative, positive, and neutral, the correct mood stays with the post even if I switch out my icons.

It works for me. :-)
