In about an hour and-a-half, I'll be heading back to my temporary homestead in Dallas. My winter classes start tomorrow at 8 AM, and I don't really feel like I'm ready to buckle down again. I used so much energy to survive the fall term that my brain still feels like it could use another few days of recovery. But alas, I'm sure I'll be fine. The thought that comforts me is that I'm another step closer to finally finishing college and earning my B.A.
I'm also glad that Dean has finally agreed to allow Nick to come visit me at his house. (I don't know what the ruling is on Nick staying the night, but we'll figure that out later.) Perhaps I won't feel quite so isolated if Nick comes to visit me on occasion.
I've written down a few resolutions for 2011. See below:
1. Lose between five and ten pounds, and tone up my midriff before Spring Break.
2. Earn at least a 3.7 GPA to match last term's GPA.
3. Develop a more active social life.
4. Go at least three months without eating any fast food other than Subway.
5. End the year with at least a few hundred dollars in my savings account.
6. Meditate three to four days per week.
7. Go back to being an early riser.
8. Boycott Starbucks.
9. Make time to read a few books outside of the university environment.
10. Have faith in my relationship and do not give in to insecurities from long ago.
That's all for now. Any feedback? If so, it would be most welcome.
