Since I left that community, I thought I would just quickly respond to your comment here (i'm sorry if that bothers you!!).
Many do survive, but there are many who don't. I believe in assisted suicide. I've seen quite a few cases where it would have just been easier for those who are 95% certain no hope is left. A close cousin of mine died from cancer several months ago, but he chose to suffer in silence while living out all of his dreams. Situations like that, I'm glad he never went through with it. He accomplished a lot of his personal goals while fighting lukemia. It's an overally touchy subject, I just feel it should be up to those involved. ALl I can offer is an outsiders perspective.

Yeah, that is true- sorry my grandpa, who raised me died of cancer.. so its a very very touchy subject for me..
