So I’m feeling good and depressed in almost equal measures, which sorta means my general mood levels out to an average of “blah”. Basically, it could be worse.
I am lacking in energy in a major way lately, which I think has something to do with the more negative side of life right now, and also means I can’t even be bothered typing up an update worthy of all the bits and pieces that have been happening since last I posted.
Instead, I’m just gonna do a brief run-down of the goods and bads, before even more life happens.
STUFF THAT IS COOL FO SHO
- Work is going alright, which is better than bad. I’m dealing.
- I own a black iPod Classic 80GB, as of three hours ago.
- 'The Gruen Transfer' starts tonight. More Wil = much good.
- I can has Bowser plushie! He is cool and Bowser-y and grouchy and awesometastical. Enough so that I can justify making up words to describe him.
- We have acquired tickets to see Bill Bailey. Bill freaking Bailey. ‘Nuff said :D
- I’m seeing Ross Noble next weekend, and the Comedy Festival Roadshow the week after that.
- And speaking of the Roadshow, I just found out that my beloved Sammy J will be performing in the Perth leg! I’m so amazingly happy about this, my God. It’s so silly, but he’s really cool, and I’ve been waiting since last April to see him again (it’s only been a year. I’m obviously quite impatient XD)! Happy happy.
STUFF THAT SUCKS, IN SUPER ABBREVIATED FORM
- Two of my friends, one of whom I’ve know for several years, the other for several weeks, have had a huge falling out in the past couple of days. They were really close after only four weeks, but some stuff went down yesterday, and now they’re totally pissed with each other. Both are talking to me about it, but truthfully I want nothing to do with it at all.
- I’m missing out on a Kav Temperly show that I had my heart absolutely set on going to, all because I was born four months too late. I’m so, so bloody sick of age restrictions on venues, because I keep missing out on performances that I really want to see. This is the second time in a row I’ve been unable to go to an Eskimo Joe related thing due to my age, and the fourth time in a row I’ve missed them overall. I’m especially peeved about this, because Eskimo Joe are basically my favourite band, I adore Kav beyond words, and he was gonna be performing an acoustic set with new songs and stuff. So yeah, majorly freaking upset.
Other things of note, I guess, include:
- The Eagles pwnd Adelaide. But I’ve already made a post about that.
- There’s a cool guy who has come into the news agency twice recently, whom I hoping will come in again this week. He’s funny and a bit of a pain, but in an on purpose, makes-me-amused sort of way.
- The Spicks & Specktackular was spectacular indeed. Crap seats couldn’t take away even the tiniest bit from what an awesome show it was.
- I scored ‘The Goodies Rule OK’ book for $7.50, half price, without any indication that it was going to be so amazingly cheap. Price sticker said $15, and RRP was $45. So... win! :)
- I got new glasses yesterday. Dull red and cool and stuff. I like ‘em muchos.
And that’s about it.
I will try to update more frequently from now on, just so things don’t get so jumbled and I can keep up with my friends page.
