SOTU was absolutely amazing.
Christian picked me up at 9 and we went to a gas station. I got a double shot espresso and water, he a huge mountain dew. We arrived around 10. Met up with Tarek, Marcos and Ryan.
Then we waited in line until 12:00ish even though doors were supposed to open at 11.
Got Fear before merch. I got a blue belt, a shirt and a jacket (I'll take and post pictures tomorrow or something of them all)
Stood around for All that remains. They played and were pretty good. I video taped dancing most of the time. Because it's my favorite.
Then waited for fear before. They played and were awesome of course. I almost died. I love them.
I don't remember the songs they played by name but I they played 1, 2, 6, 7, 9, 11 all from art damage. I wanted them to play "State of Texas VS Fear before but whatever.
Then we got out and I set up camp at the Fear before merch table. They were coming at 2:30 and I wanted to be there. So I waited.
Christian went off to see a life once lost. I waited. He brought me food. I ate and waited. We all waited. Then Dave came. I got his autograph and a picture. Then waited some more.
All that remains showed up in the booth next to theirs so I got two sets of autographs for me and Christian.
So fear before shows up and we get their photos and autographs and leave.
I went to the ptw booth to see if I could something for moe moe. I brought him with me on a little piece of paper (see pictures) since he couldnt go. But they didn't have anything and weren't coming to do autographs. ):
We saw Norma Jean who I thought were great even though everyone else was like "they sucked because they played new stuff"
Dave sang back up vocals in Memphis will be laid to waste as the last song.
I saw him standing towards the back looking intently at the front of the crowd and motioning with his fingers.
I go "Oh shit. He's gonna jump" I try to tell people around me but they didn't understand so I moved slightly to the left, avoiding his boding crushing my head.
The kid next to me was near his shoe and was trying to take it off. I yelled at him and was like "DON'T TAKE HIS SHOE! DON'T THROW IT!" bitch.
Then it was over and we went to go sit down in the back for a while. We got water from a hose and sat around listening to throwdown. Christian went to watch ETIDwith Marcos and I stayed with Ryan and the merch.
I fell asleep and some dude woke me up to ask me for a lighter. Bitch.
Then gwar started playing. Okay. Freakiest thing ever. They all look like...This:
and they play like that. They killed this guy in the pope suit. And he was like a nazi pope. And they like hacked him up and "blood" sprayed everywhere.
Then they killed "George Bush" and hacked off his head and "blood" sprayed at the crowd. It was so gross. There were people running around in thongs and shit. Dudes.
It's all like BLOOOOOOOOOODDDDDDDDD DIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEE DEATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

During Gwar it starts to look like its gonna rain. I go "Christian it's going to rain." Him: "Unearth is right after this. I want to see them"
It starts to get windy so we go over the the fear before merch table. It starts to pour and the tent starts trying to fly away. So we held it down with these other dudes that were there.
I started packing up the stuff so it wouldn't get wet.
The merch guy gave everybody a free shirt. Christian already had all the ones in his size so he didn't get one ):
Then they packed it all up and we went under part of the stadium while it rained.
We talked to the other dudes who were helping and it turns out there were two Chris's and a Jimmy. So we made it three Chris's, a jimmy and a jasmine.
Mike was behind us the whole time looking at a video on a recorder.
We talked alot about hurricanes and shows and such. Then it stops raining a little bit (Gwar has still been playing and the crowd is still there even though alot left.)
Gwar finally finished like 10 minutes before we got kicked out from under the stadium by a fucking guard even though we were helping the band.
so we watched some of unearth from afar and then left.
