Nedowan
I started a small description and synopsis of a story I've been working on for quite a while. This is really just the plot of the first 3ish chapters, but it's a nice tool to help me with pacing and to see if I'm telling all of the story I want to tell.
I thought I'd share it.

Overview:
Jill spent her life chasing dreams until she grew tired of always ending up empty handed. Giving up and driving up small highways through northern New England, she quickly finds out that it can be just as hard to run away from your dreams when a mysterious light from the sky rips away her reality and drops her into a strange world she always hoped was there.
Story Synopsis:
A mysterious light comes out of the sky and forces Jill off-road and into the woods. She is chased until she becomes lost, eventually finding a black stone pyramid. She sees a robed priest with a ritual dagger and tries to escape, but is captured and held in a locked room inside the pyramid.
In a plan set forth by her new cellmate, YAMA OTOKO, they escape from the cell and instead of leaving the temple, Yama leads the way to a ritual sacrifice. In a bed of small pink and yellow flowers KATE JACKSON lays whimpering and shaking, feeling powerless. Jill screams out to stop the woman from being killed, and Yama uses this as a distraction to rescue Kate by staying behind in the shadows.
While Yama and Kate escape, they find Jill hiding from the SANGO PRIESTS and Yama offers to take her to safety. The three leave the black pyramid and run towards the woods. On a small bridge, Yama fights three priests on a wooden bridge and gets cut by a wavy dagger--this surprises him. They turn away from the temple and run into the deep woods.
HIGH CELEBRANT MOKU, a small-disfigured man and leader of the Sango, finds out that the new arrival has escaped. All of the priests in the temple panic. Moku, however, remains calm and talks to his followers slowly like they are children. ”She did not ascend? Did you read the book to her? I’m sure if you talk to her, she’ll see her early departure was quite an embarrassing mistake. Tonight is, after all, her future.”
When Moku finds out that Yama has escaped the prison, he loses his temper. When he finds out who is to blame, he does nothing by look away from them and cover his eyes along with everybody else. When he looks back, that person is no longer there.
Moku, knowing that today’s events seriously messed with his plans, called for the SACRED SCROLLS and began a ritual to summon and bind a creature who had the power to set things back to how they were yesterday. At first the demon was unruly, but Moku just looked at the demon and grabbed a small bag from one of the various necklaces he wore. He opened it up and took out a small charm. He showed it to the demon. “This is old… When you are this old, I will be afraid of you.”
