[Event 01] Shooting Practice

Sep 26, 2008 12:05

Richard twisted his mouth. Terrorism was a harder world to dabble in than he thought. He was not a freedom fighter. He enjoyed the systematic use of terror as a means of coercion. He created fear. Iscariot intended to cause death and serious harm to civilians and non-combatants with the purpose of compelling the Victorian Company to refrain from ( Read more... )

*Is the post closed for good? Say it's not so for this mun is bored!*

*Anyway, if Richard is truly following the blond-haired Mitsuki Father James to the church, then please have a silver-haired vision-impaired girl on the road, sashaying in the opposite direction before well, damn, she trips over your foot and goes 'oomph' onto the ground. Cobblestone ground. Brimstone. Whatever ground.

HEY THANKS A BUNCH BUSTER.*

[OOC: Since Blade's on and the characters are together, a posting order? I suggest you reply to this, then I'll respond, then Blade, and finally back to you. That good for ya? ^^]

*Open post is open. Whatever ground it is, it's hard.*

*Richard's reflexes are quick; in a second he's withdrawn his gun and pointed it at the girl's head.*

[OOC: ... gun. XD And yes, that is good for me.]

*Although Ataraxy's hearing has been considerably sharpened due to her worsening eyesight, even her keen ears missed Richard whipping out his firearm. So in her daze, she tries to get up, only to feel a metal barrel pushing at her skull. She's going to be kinda freaked out now. A gasp escapes her lips and she immediately cowers.*

*Richard's hand moved quick as the gasp. His gun pressed even firmer against Ataraxy's head, pushing through and away her hair. He could shoot moving targets: one this weak was easy. It made him feel good to play with lives.*

I don't feel like playing games, brat. Watch your step.

Put the gun down Richard!

Father Chaser grabbed Richard's shoulder, how could the man try to shoot a girl like this? what kind of man was he?*

Richard, please let the girl go, she hasn't done anything wrong, killing her would be against God!

Could this man really shoot an innocent child? He hoped not because the last thing he wanted to see was a death he did not prevent. He was charged by God to look after his Flock, and this girl was a part of it. As was Richard.*

*I mean, if she was some type of tentacle monster it could be justified, but seriously... blind girl.

Nonetheless, Ataraxy's not reckless when it comes to playing Russian roulette with her own life. Nor does she care about fairness or justice at a time like this. Had their been no gun barrel to her head, she might have actually piped up about her vision deficits, but in this situation? Stay low and comply to all orders. And while, she is grateful that a third party intervened, words are powerless against a firearm if the intent of the man wielding the weapon is strong enough. So really. She's just going to cower.*

... y-yes sir.

*The gun stayed pressed to her head. Richard's convictions as a terrorist were unsound, though he shared reason with all of them. He cared about what had happened but he wasn't building a better future from it. They were dead and nothing raised them from the afterlife. So why should he look back? He felt safe doing this, and that was what he wanted. To have some fun.*

*He cast right at James.*

Don't worry. A little pain will loosen her tongue.

She is just a girl Richard, causing this kind of scene is no good for anyone, please leave her alone, she doesn't need her tongue loosened she is just a child.

*He wished he could do more, but he couldn't get in the way of the gun unless he was sure Richard wasn't going to shoot him, which wasn't an impossible idea. The more time he saw Richard the more unstable he seemed. Perhaps only God could save him.*

*Ataraxy tenses up at his words, whimpering and shutting her eyes tighter. It seems as if the only thing in between her and death is this kind, courageous man... an a apostle of god? She also notices the third party speak of Richard - apparently that's her assailant's name. She stores away the info; perhaps she could report him to the sheriff later.*

*Richard calculated it was better to lower his gun than cause a scene; there was a witness. Several if he pulled the trigger. If he wanted her dead she'd have been shot - that was why she was alive. Not because of this priest. He wasn't concerned about control. All he wanted was room to do his thing.*

*He holstered his gun.*

Looks like the little brat is sorry for getting into adult business. *He scowled at her whimpers.* If you want sympathy, at the very least cry in a cute little voice.

*Father Chaser knelt down by the girl and helped her up carefully, he was glad Richard had seen sense, his actions were becoming impossible, he'd have to do something about them before something bad really did happen.*

Are you alright Sweetheart? I really do apologise, my friend here isn't a very stable man, he wouldn't have killed you I promise. He just doesn't know when a game should end.

He was aware some of that was lies, but he wanted to comfort the girl, and protect Richard, the man wasn't evil, just ill, he needed God's help and as a priest it was his duty to preform God's work.

*Having heard a non-threatening voice directed towards her, Ataraxy cautiously opened her eyes and looked up. A blurry image of a man came into sight. Although the details of his face was hazy, she could still say with confidence he was quite handsome. Gentle, too. Relief overwhelmed her, and she gladly accepted his help. Once she was on her feet, she muttered,*

... how do we have somebody like him roaming free among the streets?

*Richard wasn't interested in Ataraxy right this moment. The game had ended, and he had to create a new one. He walked to one side and let James speak. However, he continued to watch.*

He needs God's help, if the authorities took him he'd never be helped. He's usually fine, he just gets stressed.

*He looked at the girl's eyes, did she have a sight problem? She seemed a little unfocused.

You should get home, I imagine you are a little shocked, I really am sorry. I try to keep him from harming anyone. Please forgive me.

His tone was gentle and made him seem so trustworthy and safe. He put his hand on her shoulder, hoping to comfort her.

I'm Father James Chaser, I'm the priest at the Church here, you should visit. Come to the sermons, or my Sunday School, I can always use more mature young people to help me with the little ones.

*He smiled at her, hoping she was reassured. He looked over at Richard, he had to protect him too, people could be cruel when it came to men such as him. He had to keep everyone safe, it was his duty, the reason he was a holy man.*

He's insane...

*After mumbling these words underneath her breath, she looked over at the man named Richard and squinted, trying to get a vague image of this nutjob. She managed to make out his hair color - it was white - no, it had a bluish tint to it. And the glint from the general area of his eyes must mean he wore glasses or a monocle.

She shook her head to clear her thoughts. Ouch. How did a simple walk to the general store turn out into a gigantic commotion? She looks up at the Father, brandishing a smile to show her content state.*

Thank you... Had you not interfered I would have probably lost my life. I'd gladly come to the Church to listen to your sermons. It's the least I could do.

*Richard, in the meantime, had moved to lean against the wall. His arms fold lightly across his chest and his head turns. He's listening, but he could't make out the first part of what that little girl said. She still didn't get it, did she?*

*He laughed, and it sounded bitter.*
