im froooostrated...
I am trying to post pictures from my Barcelona trip, i have a ton of them I want to share but every time i hit publish, it goes through the motions, then at the end says "there was an error" and thats it....they don't post, I have tried it a million times.
poo.
I am interviewing for my old position on the 13th, apparently someone else was already promised the job (but they still need to do interviews for formality sake) so im not holding my breath, but im not totally doubtful either. Aside from the fact that by August the same job will be opening up for ten new positions and im certain I will get one of those. I really want it however because its a salaried job here, how nice would that be?
It should be fun, for my show project im learning Flash and then putting some videos and songs in it, for a person to navigate through like a full interactive interface. I was extremely afraid of learning the scripting part, but funny thing is that sticks in my head better than the other stuff. HAH go figure.
It was neat, about two nights ago, I was walking home really late from after work because I had closed, and then hung out with a couple of the people from the store, I was walking through this dark almost alley way type thing, thinking about how much i like London when its warm, and how SF never seemed to get that warm, and how I like the rain here because SF never seemed to have rain, but then remembered how much I miss the ocean, and the bay, when right then I heard this song echoing through the alley way, I started to recognize the tune, but i had to hum a long with it a little bit to finally realize what the song was, and finally found myself singing the lyrics as I continued to walk, when I heard the words come out of my lips i became very nostalgic.
the words to the song were..
Sittin' in the morning sun
I'll be sittin' when the evening comes
Watching the ships roll in
Then I watch them roll away again, yeah
I'm sittin' on the dock of the bay
Watchin' the tide roll away, ooh
I'm just sittin' on the dock of the bay
Wastin' time
I left my home in Georgia
Headed for the Frisco Bay
Cuz I've had nothing to live for
And look like nothing's gonna come my way
So, I'm just gon' sit on the dock of the bay
Watchin' the tide roll away, ooh
I'm sittin' on the dock of the bay
Wastin' time
Looks like nothing's gonna change
Everything still remains the same
I can't do what ten people tell me to do
So I guess I'll remain the same, listen
Sittin' here resting my bones
And this loneliness won't leave me alone, listen
Two thousand miles I roam
Just to make this dock my home, now
I'm just gon' sit at the dock of a bay
Watchin' the tide roll away, ooh
Sittin' on the dock of the bay
Wastin' time
I just thought that was kinda neat, mostly because of how it was just the echoing music down the alley way, and the closer i got to the pub that was blasting it (mind you at 1 am) the clearer the lyrics got, revealing the best parts of the song.
