Yes, I am writing to myself for I have no friends. Unfortunately, this will not be...one of those super intelligent journals niraj creates oh well...get over it.

Today, this humid sunny day marks 9 days until the beginning of school (aka death of the half people). If anyone else is taking English 11, and has read The Kite Runner, Leave something you enjoyed about it. Personally, I have never read a better book in my life (seriously). This book was extraordinary in every aspect. I enjoyed reading this book as well, it was not one of those books that drops your attention at the end of the 3rd page (...hint hint The Bluest Eye).

My favorite part of the book was when Amir had won the Kite flying contest and Hassan went to run the last kite, the most prized possession of the games.

"Hassan!' I called. 'Come back with it?'
He was already turning the street corner, his rubber boots kicking up the snow. He stopped, turned, He cupped his hands around his mouth. 'For you a thousand times over!' he said(67)
