Forgive me if i skip out alot of this as im doing this from memory..
Right so where do i start hmm.
So i managed to get up around 10:30 but then went to sleep again for half hour because id got back rasonably late from Sydney the night before where i brought two big boxes of Krispy Kremes for myself & Rebelica to eat in the que.
I eventually got dressed and made my way to the train station where i luckily caught the same train as Rebelica.
Munched on a couple of dohnuts on the train, then arrived in the valley and made our way to the tivoli suprisingly there were more people there this time we went the same time last year and there werent many people there at all but we still managed to get near the front.
Some people in the que were slightly bitchy and mean, which was a bit pathetic, its not like no one will come along and shove them off the barrier anyway.
& the stupid blonde woman that works at the tovoli blaitenly was on a power trip.
eurgh walking round the back as the band arrived to say hello and she come out 'GET OUT RIGHT NOW'
people were so much nicer last year they let us sit out the back.
anyway i have cool pictures of us advertising krispy kremes .
We should blaitenly be the new krispy kreme advert.
So we passed the time in the que by gass bagging, eating dohnuts & bribing people to be our friends with dohnuts hahahaha!
Everyone seemed to like the dohnuts with the white stuff in the middle.
I still find that amusing, i really need to grow up hahahaha!
We tried going round the back when the band arrived but some blonde biatch was like 'GET OUUUTTTTT' powertrip much the people working there last year were much nicer, they let us sit out there until it was time to shut the gate completely just before everyone went in.
Anyway back to this year, time went by pretty fast in the que acctually.
Eventually it was time to stand up yep & we got let in got told not to run but we speed walked anyway and got to the barrier <3
So the first band to play were those cheeky wlesh lads called Dopamine, they were amazing to be honest i have a few photos of them playing =].
I have more i just cant be bothered to post more at this current moment in time.
so anyway they were awsome the crowd participation during the song I dissappear was amazing & people were more into it than the sydney show which was great.
The next band to play were Bayside they were really good although after a little while i got bored with them.
Heres a few pictures of Bayside.
So there a few of my Bayside pictures the time bwteen Bayside & funeral for a friend seemed to take forever and also the venue seemed semi empty which made me feel bad for ffafm but eventually it filled out.
we had a bit of a laugh and a joke at others expense while waiting for funeral to come on.
I always think the time between the last support act and the main band seemed like forever because you get so excited, i was so excited about seeing them again but a little sad at the same time cause it was the last night of the tour.
I took a photo of the corwd and one of me rebelica and tim looking a bit bored of waiting for ffaf to come on.
So eventually the lights went back down & it was ffaf's time to shine oh yes.
The biggest cheer from the crowd and as they played Queen - we are the champions just before they came on the whole place was singing along.
i was a bit giddy about seeing them again.
Then the Intro to Into Oblivion & i spazzed as they came on and sang my heart out so much.
They had so much energy and matt was feeling alot better so he was jumping around going crazy and having a jolly good time.
i completetly didnt see him leave the stage at one point he went running round upstairs and some guy tackled him i dont think he was expecting to get tackled by a group of adoring fans upstairs.
I honestly could not fault thier set list.
It went as followed:
Into Oblivion
All the Rage
Juneau
The great wide open
She drove me to daytime television
Out of reach
The end of nothing
Raise the Sail
This years most open heartbreak
Roses for the dead
History
The sweetest wave
*encore*
Streetcar
Escape artists never die.
I just knew they'd close with escape artists never die as every single time ive seen them they always have.
I came away with the set list and one of gareths picks, i later got one of Darrans picks too.
When they sang history at both dates i went to i came so close to crying.
It was the most incredible show and went down a storm i loved every minute of it and wish so much i could go back to that night
My camrea died half way through funerals set i could have cried i really could have but i still got photos so heres some.
Once they left the stage the venue cleared reasonably quickly
but myself and rebelica stayed around afterwards talking to the dopamine guys and gareth and matt came out to say hello too which was nice.
the night had only just begun for myself though as i didnt get home until midday the next day although i think theres
