Um, yes, I watched My Fair Lady yesterday. I kept pausing it to do other things, too. So a 3 hour movie took me about 7 hours to finish. Totally worth it.

Pretty, yes?
Brian and I spent the day at the Dallas Arboretum on Saturday. It was beautiful out there even if most of the flowers and trees aren't blooming yet. Brian got some good shots, but this one's my favorite right now. I'll have to share some of his other pictures later.
Saturday night I made chicken enchiladas with tomatillo sauce. Made it from scratch I did. They were quite yummy. Also, quite time consuming. Not something I'd make often, but definitely something I'd make again. Eventually. When I'm in the mood to spend two hours cooking again.

Short book review of
I Love You, Beth Cooper by Larry Doyle:
This is a humorous little book about one valedictorian's struggles with the consequences of announcing to Beth Cooper and the rest of his graduating class his love for her during his graduation speech. The book borrows ideas from all sorts of 80's teen movies - in fact, each chapter begins with a random quote from said movies (which is awesomely fun all by itself). The story is unique in its own right, though, and it has a lot of funny moments that actually made me laugh out loud. It greatly pleased my 80's teen movie obsessed heart.

Now, not really a review, just some minor comments about the "Band Candy" episode of Buffy that I watched this morning.
I was highly amused by this episode. An immature "bad ass" version of Giles? Yes, please. He was fantastically entertaining. Not a fan of him hooking up with Buffy's mom, but I'm not a big Buffy's mom fan. Favorite moment: his reaction to Buffy asking if he wanted to fight her with the whole dramatic hand through the hair motion. I cracked up.
Speaking of hooking up, Willow and Xander? I don't hate it, but I was just getting used to the joy of Willow and Oz. Why start messing with that so soon? They were kind of cute with their playing footsies under the table, though. Oh, I'm just so conflicted. :P
And Angel's still recouping in secret from his return from the other side. I don't like that Buffy's not telling anyone about him. I predict trouble!
Yes, obviously.

Finally, even though most of you have probably already seen it, I give you this because it is amazing.
