A place not reached before

As much as I love Rush and classic rock in general, I was a little nervous about them coming on TCR last night. I was afraid they'd do something stupid like play a new song, but thankfully they stuck to "Tom Sawyer" and it was amazing. I'd never actually seen the band perform, so that was cool, too. The drum kit alone was incredible. And to top it all off, they still sound very similar to the original tracks, which is always delightful.

Craig Ferguson shaved off his mustache! I was very pleased, although I couldn't help but feel bad that I was one of those "fans" who bitched him out on the internet. Sorry.

Still, though, every once in a while I'm like Why the hell am I watching this stupid show? and then Craig does an impression of Buffalo Bill (Ted Levine) in The Silence of the Lambs, and I'm like Oh, right! ♥

I forgot to mention this, but last week I was watching an Ed Helms interview on Conan O'Brien, and anyway, it ending with Ed Helms playing the piano, dressed like Elton John, and singing like Tom Brokaw. I thought about it and I thought about it, but I still can't figure out why that wasn't awsome.

I'm having Queer as Folk withdrawal. I mean--sure, Brian and Justin didn't have to get married, but they didn't have to break up! I want some reassurance that they were able to make their relationship work, even if on their own, unconventional terms. Even the season finale of Will & Grace hinted that Will and Vince got back together! Throw us a bone, here! D:

I miss this. *encompassing gesture*

Hugh Laurie has a way of getting my hopes up SO FUCKING MUCH. On H/W, season 5:

"House and Wilson reach a place they have not reached before ... The lovers make up."

There's also a RSL interview on this list a ways, but I wouldn't really say it's worth it. Yeah, RSL, and when exactly was the last time Richard Dawson made a tv appearance? That's right. Forever ago.

spoilers, craig ferguson, music, slash, the late late show, queer as folk, ed helms, house, the colbert report, conan o'brien
