I don't know what to say here today

I laughed so hard at this yesterday for no reason. Hooray exhaustion!

----------

English- Watched The Dark Knight.

Modern Film & Lit- Finished The Dark Knight. I am very slowly becoming sick to death of that movie, but that doesn't stop me from fangirling about it every time one of my friends mentions not having seen it.

I had a neatly typed list of fifteen prospective biography subjects which I took with me to the library. I had been hoping to avoid a Blockbuster-scenario, but I've since decided to officially stop trying. Actors? Nothing. Comedians? Nothing. How about Rod Serling--he's dead. Nothing. They didn't even have anything on Sigmund Freud. Peeking at my list I saw my last reserve consisted of presidents and other politicians. Ok, fine, JFK was on my list, but then I found a biography on Abraham Lincoln that included illustrations and a timeline, so that was the ultimate winner. I did look for something by Doris Kearns Goodwin, but of course, nothing.

Lunch- I stopped by Mr. N's room (it was just next door) and asked if he'd heard anything about our paper. He said he hadn't checked his e-mail, but that we should be ok.

Is it possible that he cares less than I do right now?

I also passed out most of my Christmas gifts to everyone. I think Kristy really liked her earrings but I don't know about everyone else. Ugh. I hate buying gifts for people.

Towards the end of of lunch Nolan came over to my table and I got talking to him about Dead Poets Society since his English class just finished it today. I asked if anyone cried and he said quite a few people did. I wish I could have been there. I love watching people's first reactions to my favourite movies. xD

Psychology- The guy who sits to the left of me and the guy that sits in front of him--well, I wouldn't say they're gay for each other, but they certainly are playful. And hands-y. I will confess there have been several days now where I've given up reading and just watched them pet each other.

The guy next to me stretches over his desk to feel the other guy's back as he writes, and occasionally, in turn, the guy in front will lay back to reach and run his hands through the first guy's hair, who bows his head forward and lets him. They talk a lot during class but neither say a word during these moments.

I know I embedded this vid just this past Sunday, but I can't not show the clip of Maurice and Clive stroking each others' hair now. 0:45 - 1:30 isn't terribly far off, actually:

Honestly, though, they don't set off any sense of "gaydar" I have. It's not just because they're star athletes at our school or because they've been through several girlfriends each; I truly believe they're just fooling around. That is, I mean to say I don't believe there is any emotional attachment between the two. Doesn't mean it isn't hot to watch, though. xD

Pre-Calc- I'd finished my homework during one of The Dark Knight sessions this morning, but I still ended up taking a million notes because Mr. T didn't cover any of this stuff on Monday.

Seminar- Every once in a while, a middle schooler (6th or 7th grade?) comes into Mr. G's room and hangs out at the end of the day. In the past I've wondered if that could possibly be his son. No, I assured myself, no way. Maybe his nephew.

Today this was all cleared up for me. Eavesdropping on the girls behind me who were wondering the same thing, someone butted in that it was his girlfriend's son. Ew, really? That's still a little odd. Let's see: my mom was 40 when I was in 6th grade, and Mr. G said he was 58 when I had him last year (I keep tabs for a reason!), so... is his girlfriend seriously 15 - 20 years younger than him? That's so weird.
