This is very painful, the way that people come together then ricochet even further apart. I especially loved the conversation between Charles, Mystique and Erik about her pregnancy, and the future for her child.

Wow...so beautiful. And something that is actually true to both my hope for a 'fix' yet follows where the story line almost MUST go. Thank you again!!!!

Oooh, I was almost going to write something based on the same premise (when Charles gets hit at the beach, they just drop everything and go home and leave the rift between them to fester over the course of years and years), but now I don't have to because this is brilliant. You've handled it extremely well. I love the happy moments -- drunk Charles pretending to be even drunker to lean all over Erik (in contrast to later when he would never pretend to need Erik's support because his physical independence becomes that much more dear to him -- I don't know if that contrast was on purpose or not, but I liked it) and Erik baking and greeting Jean by joining her in playing with their powers. But of course, all the little, sweet moments are set on this bleak, bleak backdrop that's... actually more 'depressing' than 'heartbreaking,' I think ( ... )

ALSO! Great epigram! Those lyrics are so perfect! I hadn't heard that song, but I had to look it up after I saw that and it's really pretty, so thanks for bringing it to my attention. (But damnit, now I have another vid idea and I can't keep making these stupid things! lol)

Hah! Toss me a link if you vid it, when I first heard the song I was LONGING to know how to vid because it was so fitting!

And thank you very much for the comments, I'm glad you liked it, despite the depressing!

If I wasn't already 2 minutes into a vid for "Many of Horror" by Biffy Clyro with the same overall concept, I'd do it.

But if you feel inspired, I say you should give it a whirl yourself. No one starts out knowing how to vid. If you have any DVDs of the movies, follow this tutorial to get started (and if you don't have the movies, midnight_alters is a very nice community). Then, if you have Windows, once you've got your AVI or WMV copies of the movie(s), just open up Movie Maker, import them, and start playing around. It's fun. I'd be happy to try to help with any questions you have -- plus, the people in the Windows Movie Maker forums are very knowledgeable and helpful. If you go for it, good luck!
