Well, had a small chat with Zavael last night. Late at night. He gave me a small surprise when he snuck into the library without me noticing and subsequently blew over a stack of papers sitting on a table behind me. Hehe.
So, as he nervously apologized and I sheepishly knelt over to help pick them up (considering his hands sort of made them keep blowing away ^_^), we had a small chat about hobbies and stuff. Nothing big. Although I did find out he likes to read a lot, probably as much as I do, and we both like some similar genres. So that was cool.
I was busy doing some college research, actually. I realized it's halfway through August and I haven't put any thought into which college I'll plan on attending. I know I could always pick up a big scholarship at NYU, and the science program is good, but I figure I'd look around and keep my options open.
I've been thinking about what I want to be, and most of the lines seem to end up as a doctor. I was thinking about forensics, but maybe that's too...haunting. I know I'd help stop more future crimes, but I can imagine all too well that I'd often wake up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat with dead bodies on my mind. And that wouldn't be much fun. Maybe I'll be an actual physician, even go into ER medicine. But then, life in the ER wouldn't be much less stressful than forensics--probably more, in fact. So then I got thinking, what if I just double major in Biology and Chemistry, perhaps even with a Japanese minor, and then spend my life doing research for new cures and stuff? My mom's always joked to me about being the one to discover the cure for cancer or diabetes or something...maybe I will. In the future, I could always do some teamwork scientific research with Professor McCoy or Dr. Grey--they're both fantastic, brilliant scientists. (And no, no one told me to say that.)
But...whatever. I'll think about it. Maybe I'll talk to Jean about it when she gets back from Ireland...ask her for professional career advice or something. We'll see.
OOC: Thanks to Zav for a good scene, even though it was short and I had to leave. Go to
