OOC: Help with TP stuff. Calling all interested.

...For what it's worth, I really have no idea where I'm taking this whole "I want to be an X-Man! W00t!" thing. :-D I think for right now I'm using it for debate involving my character while I'm too busy with work and RL to RP, but it's also a long-term opportunity for my character to change the way he thinks and feels, or at least get some opportunities for different types of RP scenes. We'll see. Either way, Quark-character isn't going to have much of a say in the matter or a chance to change too much before he graduates next summer. :-) So I'll have time to think about it until then.

Anyway, on to what I'm really posting about. I haven't really taken much initiative with the mini-TP involving Quark's ill mother, Allison Parker...mostly because I don't know what I'm supposed to do in terms of OOC arrangements and stuff. ^_^ But my goal is basically to get it resolved, for better or worse, within a month or so. Because I know I'm going to get pretty busy once my own school year starts at the end of the month.

First off, the way I see it, there are two possible routes for this to end. First, Dr. Parker can be healed through the combination of both modern medicine and X-Factor healing abilities from third-party mutants. Such an outcome would create a scene involving at least several people I've not RPed with before, as well as create an event that shows how mutants and humans can coexist peacefully. Second, if I don't get enough people interested, I'll have to go with a different route: modern medicine alone will not be able to help cure such a deadly and severe case of leukemia as with Dr. Parker. As the doctors (in this outcome, anyway) will be unwilling to allow mutant healing to be involved due to some reason or other, Allison will pass away. Such an event will leave Quark in anguish and pain, and will also emphasize how humans are so often unwilling to trust or be associated with mutants.

Personally, I'd rather take the first route. ^_^ It'll give Quark-character a reason to be happy and see first-hand how mutants and humans can work together for a greater good, and perhaps help him stop this "I want to be an X-Man" ranting / arguing / pointless debating. So, if you are interested in helping me with this mini-TP, PLEASE leave me a page #mail or LJ comment to this entry. I'll need a few people involved that have mutant healing abilities and would actually be willing to help out ICly, and probably a few of the X-Staff (I think Jean and Forge might've mentioned interest...). Also, could someone please NPC for either Dr. Adam Bradford :-P or Allison Parker herself? If Quark isn't directly involved himself, I can NPC as one of the two, but not both. And I just have to have Bradford in there, just for kicks and giggles. :-P

Alright...sorry for the long post! Thanks ahead of time for anyone willing to help out.
