Logan's breath comes out as a fog as he paces through the park, hands in his pockets. The little cloud washing over his face as he passes through it before vanishing completely. While he by no means the only one on the path tonight, as the minutes tick by he has less and less company. His eyes scan the faces he passes, each receiving a considering look. He's on the prowl, but so far no good.
Lethe may be companionable, but she is also demanding, and when work demands late nights, Elizabeth comes home to walk in the park at late nights. She paces with lazy steps, warmly wrapped in wool coat and scarf and gloves, while Lethe forges a path ahead of her.
With a resigned breath, Logan steps to the side of the path and stretches out his back. But then Lethe catches his eye, and after Lethe, Elizabeth. Eyes creasing together, his eyes follow the pair for a moment, not quite what he was looking for. Regardless, he calls over "You know, I think I might'a been wrong. Its good look for you, cat is a nice touch."
Elizabeth's reply is tiredly patient, and she pauses in her steps to allow Logan to catch up with her. "Logan. So very glad you think so."
Shrugging his jacket tighter around his shoulder, he takes a few large steps to catch up to Elizabeth's side, slowing down to something almost casual when he matches pace. "How many months you been keeping this up? Three now? More? Figured you would get a jumbo littler box by now." In contrast, Logan's tone is slightly amused and curious.
"We walk for the exercise," Elizabeth replies evenly.
As they walk, Logan continues to consider many of the people they pass, a certain calculating expression across his eyes. "Must be some pet." he smirks out, one of his glances spared for the animal ahead, before he jabs "But I guess you need to keep in shape during retirement."
"I hadn't taken you as one for guessing," Mystique taunts in low retort. Her arm rises slightly with the tug of the leash, and her pace quickens.
As her pace quickens, Logan's lags behind. "Yeah, I'm tired of guessing." he replies back to Elizabeth as the distance between the two grows larger, Logan turns and makes pace in the other direction. "Too damned tired of guessing."
Elizabeth pauses for a moment, catching Lethe back as she holds in stillness to look after him. A faint frown etches across her features, and she remains that way for several minutes.
Mystique runs into Logan in the park.
