Hurry, hurry

So much to do, so little time. Deep breath.

I'm still trying to unpack at the new place. Where did all these boxes come from? Did I pack them? Do they materialize somehow? Do they breed? Horrifying thought: boxes breeding. If they unpacked themselves, that would be one thing. As it is . . .

Meanwhile, the usual deadlines loom. TNR by the end of the week, plus that other magazine piece - no, wait, that's on hold until next month, thank God. So, I'll go another few rounds with the TNR piece; fortunately, I think it's close to being finished. The editor will have a good whack at it, anyway, whatever I do. Not my best, but not my worst, either. These days, I'll take it. I'll have to. At least I'm off Bylines for the next two weeks while Phil and Sam take their turns in the rodeo. Have fun, guys!

More later, after I take care of a few more boxes.
