Not to mention the fact that he's borderline abusive. Behavior he learned from his loving brothers -- well, more on that later.

I love that. I mean, obviously I don't, but I love that you play it with him, that it makes sense from his background, that he's flawed that way. He's not a knight in shining armor. He's dark and angry and human. Wonderful Rossi. Wonderful Rossi-player.

I sat there and considered whether to use Jean's actual name so casually, because Rossi had never admitted his association with them to her before. He was sharing with Leah, in a backhanded, dumbass sort of way.

I did catch it! Leah did not, not in that sharing way. Because ew, mutants, and hey, jealousy of Jean.

I melted at that pose. It's so beautifully mortal. I would kill to be able to write like you. Well. Okay. Maybe not kill. Maim, certainly.

Aw, thanks. (I think.) I draw from my own experience (too much, I know) and from people-watching! I love to people-watch in public and then steal what I see for rp.

Also, I knew Rossi was abusive, at least borderline -- he's got the seeds of it in him, from background and upbringing and temperament -- but I wasn't sure if I was conveying it right.

You totally were. Are. Very good job. Look at how much I ranted about it in the commentary -- ranted at Rossi, too.

I was having a random thought that at the end of this arc, Leah's going to be stronger and less fundamentally flawed than Chris is. She's making a conscious effort to redeem herself, whereas Rossi just keeps going around in circles. She's too good for him. She's growing.

Yay! But maybe the end of the arc will be good for Rossi's development? Or maybe he'll keep treading water. Either way, that's interesting. I like thinking about character development. It's my faaaaaavorite.
