boat boat boat boat boat
well, my weekend turned out to be a whole lot more than one shindig. we did end up going, but we were there for only about 10 minutes... shame, because it had all the signs of being awesome. but its all good... bradley and me had a better time.
it all began when brad called me friday night and said 'we're going out on the boat tomorrow... wanna come?' (i don't think i mentioned that brad's family bought a fancy wizzbang fishing/diving/skiing boat :D ) and cos they were leaving at 6am, it was very much easier for everyone if i stayed over on friday night.. so guess what? i did :D two weekends in a row, woohoo. he came and picked me up, had a perve on the new boat and then went to bed. we stayed up talking and being excited about the following day for a while, then decided we should go to sleep as we were getting up at 5am. neither of us slept very well, it was a bit hot. but we cuddled lots so it was all okay.
up at 5, we left at 5 to 6. went and picked up mush and min (they have a speed boat :D ) and then shaun (friend of mush and min's). then it was off to lake eildon. few random stops on the way (brekkie at baker's delight in healesville, bait at thornton) and finally made it to jerusalem creek. got changed, packed the boats, launched the boats and then we were off! tied ourselves to a stump somewhere between jews creek and coffs bay and set up camp. the rest of the day went something like this:
- kneeboarding from mush and min's boat (first kneeboaring experience for brad and me, big fun)
- something to eat
- fishing on tony and di's boat (no one caught anything.. the fishies were there though, we had one of those monitors that tell you when fishies go underneath you)
- back to shore for lunch, which didn't really turn out to be lunch.. took turns to go to the loo (anywhere behind a tree) and by the time i got back everyone minus di and brad had gone out on the sea biscuit, so brad and me went fishing instead... brad got the lure stuck in a tree, ha ha ha :P i caught a stick fish, i am very proud :)
- lunch when battered and bruised bodies got back to shore
- out again, this time on tony and di's boat to go sea biscuiting (big fun again... brad did the best wipeout, arms and legs went everywhere.. funniest thing i've ever seen) i stayed on for ages!! go me.
- back in, picked up di and min and went for a cruise (our boat goes fast)
- time to go :( packed the boats, cruised back to jews creek, boats back onto the trailers, knackered around for a while getting changed etc, and then left :(
dropped into a caravan park in eildon to visit min's mum and dad on the way home, i was so tired that i wasn't even scared to meet them lol. left for home after a while, brad and me almost fell asleep in the back. we talked most of the way home, and he said we're gunna go away together soon :D i am excited already.
got back to brad's, had fish and chips for a very late tea, then dropped into hunner's shindig for a bit. was great to see everyone again :D
and finally, very tiredly we made our way back to my place.
it was a really long day, but i loved every second of it. tony, di, mush, min and shaun are so much like kids, its so funny to watch. they picked on shaun and tried to drown min, tried to throw brad and tony off the biscuit and pissed themselves when they came off.. guess its just weird to see for me cos my mum and dad don't do anything like that.. i've never seen dad excited before, so its all new to me.
i can't wait until we can go again!
today i am sunburnt and sore, but i don't care because it was so entirely worth it.
now i am off to look for wheels for my car again (brad reckons i can still have marie's wheels.. WOOP) 16 inch wheels for me.
