I really kind of hate Grey's Anatomy and it seems that I am the only person ON THE FACE OF THE PLANET who feels this way. Which is frustrating. But it's not like I don't like the show because I don't want to like it. I've tried watching it. But it's an insanely bad show. So.
Hey! I got a Facebook! It's like, the best toy ever. Though not as great as the computer games I had when I was a kid, like Seussville and Clue Finders and Put-Put Saves the Zoo! and all the Nancy Drew games. OH OH AND. The Oregon Trail. F. T. W. How great were these games? Discuss.
Heroes has so much crazy incestuous subtext. Also, the African guy is totally Mr. Eko v. 2. Kring's been watching some TV lately, methinks. Whatevz. I'm not mad at him anymore because Zach is gay and him and Claire are WONDER TWINZ again. Also, Petrellislash is what Nathan/Peter is called, for the record. And yes, I did just make it up. Creative license! Not as flashy as "Wincest", but still. I think it holds its own. Better than "Harmony", at least. *shudders*
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! WHAT HAPPENED TO MY CUDDLY, FUZZY HAL WHO SITS ON MY COUCH WITH POPCORN??? HIS BAND IS SO... SO... SCARY!!! (PLUS, THE MUSIC IS TEH GHEY.) NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. *WEEPS LIKE A WEE CHILD*
Pan's Labyrinth was amazingly amazing. The movie was so heart-wrenching and beautiful. I had my reservations about the movie, since I had been warned that there was a lot of violence. There was. However, none of it was gratuitous or excessively gory. The story was wonderfully told, mixing fantasy and reality into one. It was incredible, I don't think anyone's done cinematic magic realism before. Some people I talked to didn't like it, but I think that's because they expected it to quite literally be a fairy tale, the way they make it seem in the commercials, and wrongly so. My personal view is that you should NEVER go into a movie theatre expecting anything. That being said, I highly recommend this movie. Still, unless you're used to sophisticated foreign films (or think you can be), you may not enjoy it. Give yourself over to the film. Open your minds, broaden your horizons. I'm going to buy Pan's Labyrinth when it comes out on DVD.
