went a saw wayne hancock last friday, great show. met up with an old friend and it was great to see her again. i was sad to hear of some hard issues she and her family are faced with at the moment because my friend jessi and her family were like kind of a second family to me throughout my years in carrollton. my heart and prayers go out to them and the things they are dealing with at the moment.
i am trying to go down to austin tomorrow to see some bands play and get out of dallas.
reading a lot about townes van zandt, guy clark and a lot of texas troubadors as well as those they ran the roads with. it makes me long for the days of headin up and down the road with friends playin music,spending weeks in towns and just living in the trip. lately life has felt like a heavy trip but its my trip and i embrace it. it will make me a better, worse, wonderful, terrible, beautiful, ugly, successful,and failure of a human being. i will be changed things will reveal themselves. i will continue to create and follow my passions no matter what roads they take me up down or across.
