Make peace our resolution tonight...

Hi everyone! I got home from a fantastic day out with my friend in Newy yesterday to watch the news about the bombings in London, which totally shocked me, and I didn’t get enough time to update. I can’t believe that, so far 2 people reported dead but there’s definitely rumours of more, and over 150 seriously injured. It was devastating watching the news, all the stuff that went on in the underground. At first there was some speculation about the Live 8 meeting with the world leaders being the cause, and then people though it might be because London got the hosting for the next Olympic Games, but they ruled that out, so I think they now think it’s mainly the Alchaida (no one can spell it anyways!!) attack that’s the cause of this attack as well. I dunno, maybe it’s because the UK are allies of the US or something, and in that case I think it’s only a matter of time before they hit Sydney, which is just so scary to think of. It’s so stupid! All after we spent a whole day dedicated to the world coming together to show our support in the idea of decreasing the poverty in Africa, and now we’re all just split up again, it’s crazy!!

Well anyways, I just thought I’d comment on that, but now on a lighter point, I’ll tell you about yesterday. It was heaps fun! Livi and I went up to Warner’s Bay to go ice-skating with her mum, little sister Anna, Anna’s friend Hannah (lol! Anna and Hannah!) her mum’s boyfriend Steven, and Steven’s sister and her two daughter’s Gabby and Alex (5 and 7yrs old). Alex was convinced that Livi and I couldn’t skate properly so she had to ‘train’ us. So she’d tell us to do laps, and then we’d have to race her, lol! It was so funny! The only time I fell over was when I was trying to dance to MC Hammer’s ‘can’t touch this’ while skating, and yeah, it’s not a good idea to dance and skate at the same time when it’s only your 4th time on the ice, lol! After that we went back to Garden City to get some stuff for lunch (Hamburgers) that we were having at Gabby and Alex’s house, and Liv and I went around to all of the accessory stores to try and find the ‘finding a cure for Breast Cancer’ bands, but we couldn’t find them. It was hell funny, we went into ‘Bra’s ‘n’ things’ and they have all that sexy underwear in there and stuff, and Alex was like clinging onto Livi for dear life and she accidentally knocked over this black lacy G-string and started giggling! I think the ladies at the counter thought we were nutso or something, lol! Then we went back to there place for lunch, and Gabby and Alex thought it would be dandy to sit down and do mine and Liv’s hair while we were lying on the trampoline, and Liv got this huge ass knot in her hair. And back in Gabby’s room (which is way cooler than mine I may add) she wanted Liv and I to play Australian Idol with her on her Karaoke machine, so Liv and I started singing ‘favourite things’ from ‘the sound of music’ and she told us that we didn’t pass the auditions pretty quickly if you ask me! After that we went shopping again at Charletown Square, which was heaps awesome, ‘cos Liv and I were just let loose and went wild! Well…wild for me anyways, lol! I didn’t have much money, but I used the leftover money Mum gave me for food and stuff (shhhh don’t tell!) and we got Bree’s (yes we got your B*day pressie in advance Bree! And I left it with Livi so if it comes to your B*day and you’re wondering where it is I didn’t loose it, Liv did!) Ally’s and Livi got Sarah’s B*day presents. Then we went into this shop and it was a pretty cool shop, it was like a gypsy one, and we were looking around, when we saw a basket of tin’s and on the tin’s there was like a picture of Jesus smoking a joint, and then another one of him on a bike and stuff, and we were like, omg! That’s so wrong! I mean I’m sorry, but that’s really offensive! You just don’t do that damitt! I didn’t say that out loud, but Liv felt the need to very loudly next to the counter which was sort of embarrassing, but I still back her up on the point, it’s really offensive. When we were finished there we were walking around pretty aimlessly, and we came across one of those movable stores that usually set up at the intersections of the walkways between the shops, ya know the knick-knacky sort of ones? Yeah and they had some of those awesome bands like the breast cancer ones (oh! Which we found in Diva at Charlestown) but these ones had stuff like ‘world peace’ on them. The ones I got were:

Yellow = One world

Light Pink  = Stand up, Speak up

Dark Pink = Freedom

Blue = No Smoking

And I got a blue band ring which says ‘strength’

So yeah, they’re really cool, Liv got a couple too which were awesome. But it made me really sad to come home, wearing these bands and watching the news thinking that so many people are supporting this peace but it’s just not happening. So today, and over the next couple of days I’ll be wearing the ‘one world’ one especially because of the London attacks.

We then went to play some games at this chocolate factory machine thingy at the food court (by the means of runny up the down escalator, lol! I’ve wanted to do that for ages, it’s so fun! But getting off is the hardest bit!) and we got one picnic chocolate bar from three goes. It was one of those drop down things, where the metal thingy has to clutch at a chocolate then put it on a slide and this plank of wood would push it down and other chocolates might slide down the shoot if you’re lucky. Then Livi got totally addicted and we went back to do it again and on the first two goes we got nothing, and then on the third go I picked up this chocolate that Livi had dropped previously and because it was so big it pushed four other chocolates down the shoot! Woohoo! We were ecstatic over these chocolates! We wanted to go back and do it again, but Jan said we were wasting her money so we went and had dinner instead, which consisted of Liv and I sharing noodles with honey chicken, satay chicken (or however you spell it) and a vegie spring roll, which was heaps yum! But then I spotted this guy at KFC who I recognised from the theatre sports team that we competed against in Singo, he had red hair and was really tall, I think he was in yr 11, I dunno it you’ll remember him Bree but he was a heaps good actor, and she wanted to go and talk to him, but I was like ‘hell no!’ ‘cos that’s basically just the way I am, so she took Hannah up, and made up the lame excuse that she was getting straws to say to him ‘Hi, you were at theatre sports, you did a heaps good job’ (Jan and I were watching from a distancing and laughing hysterically when he gave her this queer ass look and just went ‘…err…thanks’)

On the way home we decided to prank some people. Livi pranked Alex (as per usual) and pretended to be that hooker Matt, and then put Steve, her ‘assossiate’ on the phone (he was driving) to talk to her, and Alex just said ‘Would you tell Olivia to stop pranking me’ and hung up. So then we pranked Mel, and surprisingly Livi has quite a good Japanese accent and I actually joined in on this one and I was her ‘sister’ and I was like ‘oh I’m sorry, my sister, she speak no english’ and then Emma (who was at Mel’s house with Laura) is just like ‘Put my back onto Olivia already!!’ lol! It’s funny! I think Liv’s pranked too many people now that they know it’s her. So yeah, that was my eventful day.

Today I’m going to play tennis with my Grandma, Farv and cousin, which should be cool, ‘cos I’m getting a lot of exercise this holidays, which I’m going to need to stay alive during City to Surf and then tomorrow our families going up to Newy to stay at Sara’s house up there for the weekend, but don’t worry, I’ll have access to the internet through Dad’s laptop so you won’t miss me :D Well better go; I’ve babble enough to last everyone a week, lol! RIP people who died in London Bombings.
