Erik hates contemporary music, techno or hip-hop or whatever else people are listening to these days. He especially hates it when it’s loud. He hates flashing lights, wearing tight pants, dancing, and crowds, so it surprises him every time he ends up at a flashy club, dressed in his tightest clothes. The only vindication he can find for the situation tonight is the cool beer in his hand and the bright look in Charles’ eye across the table.

Charles has two brightly colored shots untouched on the table in front of him, but Erik can see from the way that Charles’ pupils are blown and the way his eyes are glazed that he’s already tipsy from the minds around them, although the wine they’d had with dinner is probably helping that as well.

Chuckling at something unheard and probably unspoken, Charles downs one of the shots. “I think it’s time to dance,” he says, toying with the second shot, his eyes glued to the dance floor.

Eying the press of bodies warily, Erik says, “you go. I’ll join you later.”

Charles looks at him, an odd quirk to his lips. “You’re lying,” he says, standing and pressing a kiss to Erik’s cheek. But Charles is smiling and Erik knows he really doesn’t mind if Erik joins or not as long as he is at least here with him.

As Charles turns to leave, Erik grabs his wrist. “You’ve still got a drink left,” he says, hoping that Charles will assume this has more to do with Erik’s dislike of wasted alcohol than with how desperately he wants Charles to stay.

Charles pivots unsteadily and shoots a look between the offensively pink beverage and Erik. Taking an unnecessarily deep breath, Charles says, “I don’t think I need it-oh, don’t give me that look. I’ll have it later.”

And with that, Charles is gone, sliding easily into the press of bodies on the dance floor. Erik decides to let it go and leans back in the booth, appreciating the view of Charles’ ass in tight jeans and the way his hips begin to move to the music. This is the reason he agrees to go out to clubs with Charles on the weekends. Even though he would appreciate a more private show, he knows that Charles loves the press of bodies and minds that exist so unguarded in clubs like this. Watching Charles happy and loose in his element is nearly as intoxicating as the alcohol and Erik finds himself grinning.

But then there’s an elegant, long-fingered hand on Charles’ shoulder, pulling him around into an embrace. Erik’s jaw twitches as he recognizes Emma Frost, Charles’ ex-girlfriend. Erik knows that their breakup was mutual and that neither of them were really hurt by it, but he still doesn’t like the way that they are leaning into each other, moving to the beat of the music, and clearly having some sort of telepathic interaction. Charles has tried to convince Erik a thousand times that Emma is a friend and a mutant like them and that Erik should be nicer to her, but it hasn’t ever really sunk in.

His anger rising, Erik closes his eyes and takes a moment to take a survey of the structure of the club, following the steel supports, the copper pipes, the screws, the staples, the bolts, and he relaxes. When he opens his eyes again, Tony Stark is pressed against Charles’ back, kissing Emma across Charles’ shoulder and guiding the three of them to the rhythm of the music. Erik growls, he can’t stop himself.

Tony is Charles’ most recent ex, the one Charles left for Erik. He and Charles have remained friends against Erik’s explicit wishes, but Charles has been very insistent. Tony is apparently more like family than like a love interest, but the way that he’s currently sucking on Charles’ neck tells Erik a slightly different story. Yes, Tony is handsy with everyone and yes, he’s probably drunk, but he’s still sexy and rich and already graduated and an ex and therefore a threat. Erik doesn’t really believe that Charles would leave him to go back to Tony, or Emma for that matter, but he does not appreciate the way that Charles’ exes seem to think that Charles still belongs to them.

Tony is pressed flush against Charles’ back, rocking them to the beat, while Charles’ leg is pressed forward against Emma so she can roll her hips against it and the whole thing is too sexual for Erik’s comfort level. But they haven’t quite reached dance floor sex yet; they are all still clearly dancing, their hips swaying and arms moving in a way that Erik has never been able to replicate with any dignity.

For a moment, Erik considers leaving. If Charles wants to dance so suggestively with his exes right in plain view, he should do it when Erik isn’t there. But then he catches Charles’ staring at him over Emma’s shoulder, his eyes hooded and longing, and the slow sway of his hips, the slide of his leg and the twist of his arms is all for Erik.

“Fuck,” Erik mutters, glaring back down at the table. He is not drunk enough for this. Charles’ abandoned shot is still an offensive shade of pink that Erik would never even consider putting into his body under normal circumstances. He grabs it before he can think and downs it as quickly as possible. It’s so sweet he can barely taste any alcohol and he gags slightly after swallowing the last of it. But when he stands, the room tilts a little and Erik feels more confident about the content of the shot.

Charles watches him cross the room, reaching out for him when he’s close and pulling him in, breathing a soft, buzzed greeting in his ear. Erik feels a blush crawl up his neck and he wants nothing more than to press in as close as possible, but neither Tony or Emma have moved, and all Erik seems to be doing is throwing off the rhythm of the trio.

But then there’s a strong, unfamiliar hand on his neck, pushing him forward until Tony’s kissing him over Charles’ shoulder, hot and wet and with the tang of expensive whiskey that Erik knows Charles is fond of. For a brief moment, Erik worries that he tastes too much like cherries and lime, but Tony really doesn’t seem to mind and really, in this situation, it should be the last thing Erik’s worried about. He definitely isn’t drunk enough for this.

Caught between disgust and shock at Tony’s boldness, Erik is frozen. Charles might be giggling, but the sensation could be more in Erik’s mind than his ears, and Erik relaxes slightly into the kiss. Tony hums happily and suddenly Emma and Charles are pulling Erik between them, rocking against him to the beat, pulling him into the rhythm.

When Tony finally pulls away from him, grinning triumphantly, Erik doesn’t know if he should feel guilty and disgusted for making out with Charles’ ex-in front of him, no less-or not. At his core, the guilt is there, but Charles is smiling up at him, letting his happiness and pleasure brush against Erik’s mind. Even if Erik had hoped that Charles would be a little jealous, he can’t bring himself to feel too worried; after all, it’s Tony Stark. Erik wouldn’t be surprised if he’s the last person in the room Tony has kissed tonight.

Erik offers Charles a small smile in return before his eyes fall shut and he groans, leaning forward over Charles and letting himself fall into the dance. It’s awkward at first, but the helpful push of Emma’s hands and the gentle, mental encouragement Charles is giving him are making it much harder to be bad at this. Really, he hates dancing, he tells himself as the heat of the bodies pressed tightly around him sinks deep into his stomach.

Erik can feel Charles’ grin on his cheek and the warm puff of breath against his ear as Charles says, “this is how we met, you know.”

And yes, Erik remembers exactly how Charles and Tony had been wrapped around each other, grinding to the beat of the obnoxious techno music in the club where Raven had first introduced them. Suddenly, Erik is hyper-aware of the way Emma is pressed against his back, her hands tight on his hips, and of the way he can see Tony mouthing the side of Charles’ neck, almost hear the noises his mouth is making under the bass of the music. The slow grind of Charles’ hips against his own is suddenly less appealing, as Erik zeroes in on the way it is guided by Tony, and Erik growls. He pulls Charles in for a rough kiss, thinking as loudly as he can about how much he wishes they were alone, how much he wants Charles for himself. Charles moans into the kiss, a wash of dazed lust and love flooding Erik’s mind as Charles sinks further forward, hips snapping off beat to the music.

Emma laughs behind him and Erik shivers. He’d forgotten she was a telepath as well for a moment and with an angry curl of his fingers, he tightens her rings to shut her up. She swats at his hip with one hand and Erik groans, the sensation not entirely unpleasant. Charles is laughing again and Erik reluctantly loosens his hold on Emma’s jewelry. Charles rewards him with a mental image of the two of them in Erik’s tiny, dorm shower that leaves Erik’s knees trembling with desire.

“You boys are filthy,” Emma says, pulling Erik’s hips to a halt. Charles whines in protest, drawing the attention of a few nearby dancers, and Erik turns to glare at Emma.

“I just think you might want to take it somewhere else,” she says and runs an appreciative hand over Erik’s stomach, “although I wouldn’t really mind if you stayed, sugar.”

Charles is watching him closely as Tony continues to move them to the music and Erik feels trapped. He has the sudden desire to do anything to claim Charles right there on the dance floor so that there’s no doubt in anyone’s mind of their relationship and at the same time, he has the altogether contradictory desire to wrap Charles up in his coat and take him home and never let anyone see him again. Erik’s mouth opens and shuts a few times before Charles smirks.

“Come on,” Charles says, pulling away from Tony and tugging Erik’s arm to his side. Charles is still swaying slightly to the beat of the music, definitely not because of the alcohol, and Erik surprises himself by following Charles’ example, quite possibly because of the alcohol.

“Be safe! Don’t do anything I wouldn’t do!” Tony yells behind them as Charles pulls Erik further into the crowd on the dance floor. Charles laughs at this and Erik can feel a blush rising on his neck, though he’s not sure if it’s from annoyance or embarrassment at the implication.

Erik would be more worried at this point, since he has no idea where they’re going, but Charles is pressed close to his side and there are light fingernails tracing circles on his wrist and he finds he’s rather comfortable. “Why are we going to the back of the club?” he asks, pressing his lips to Charles’ ear to be heard over the din of the new, upbeat music.

Shooting him an amused look, Charles asks, “oh, Erik, do you really not know what goes on in the back of clubs like this?”

An indignant scowl passes over Erik’s face at Charles’ mildly condescending tone. “Not really my scene,” he says, glaring at the nearest couple.

“We’ll just have to educate you, then,” Charles says, and Erik can’t really think of a protest as Charles pulls him down a dimly lit hallway and shoves him against the wall with a forceful kiss.

Absently, Erik notices that it’s less of a hallway and more of a long room with unidentifiable boundaries, covered with people in various stages of undress. The music has dulled and the sounds of passion and sex are everywhere, although Erik can barely hear anything over the sound of blood rushing in his ears. And it smells like sex and smoke and some less savory bodily fluids. Erik gets the idea of the place, even without the rather graphic images Charles is projecting at him.

Charles groans into the kiss before breaking it off, twisting his fingers into Erik’s hair and leaning forward. “What were you thinking about doing to me back there?” he asks, lips wet on Erik’s cheek.

Erik’s fingers twitch on Charles’ hips, where they’ve settled. “I was thinking that I’d like to take you home,” he says gruffly, turning his head to glare at a particularly loud couple to their right.

“Before that,” Charles says, tugging Erik’s head back to focus on him.

“Oh,” Erik says as he receives a wave of desire from Charles. “Do you really…” he starts, but trails off. He can feel Charles’ erection press against his thigh as Charles moves against him, still caught in the rhythm of the music. “Oh.”

His brain finally catching up with the situation, Erik flips them around, pressing Charles against the wall and kissing him lightly before sliding down to kneel in front of him. Charles moans loudly and pulls almost painfully at Erik’s hair as Erik works his pants open. Erik grins. He just might be drunk enough for this.

That was amazing! Thank you so much! Jealous Erik is always fun, but everything on the dance floor was amazing and hot. Every character was just perfect.

Also, I support the anon above that Charles/Erik/Tony/Emma foursome shenanigans would be amazing. xD Tony and Emma need to make Erik jealous more.

Damn, nonnie. DAMN.

You've left me speechless. Just, unf.

But I have to agree with the others - Tony, Emma, and Charles dragging Erik into more public sexiness would be awesome. And I never thought about it until I read this fill. (Which is totally perfect as is. We just want more because if one perfect fill is DAMN then two perfect fills is . . . something more emphatic.)

Kudos.
