Alex is in an electropop/indietronic outfit (ala The Young Professionals, Chromeo, Monarchy) as the keyboardist and auxiliary mixer. Sean is guitarist and lead vocalist, and Armanado mans the drums and is the lead mixer. They’ve done the whole shebang with loading their songs on soundcloud with free downloads, made their ep ‘name your price’ on bandcamp, got some popular music bloggers to feature them, did some covers of famous songs, made a few music videos directed/produced by their film student friend Raven to put up on vimeo, but still aren’t popular by any means

Charles was this close to getting the number of a particularly cute blonde girl when Raven comes over, steers him in the opposite direction, and hisses in his ear. “We’ve got a bit of a Sean situation now.”
Charles looks down at his wrist that Raven was squeezing tightly and then looks up at where she’s pointing at.
“Oh.”
The problem wasn’t that Sean was drunk, the problem was that some idiot gave him a mike after he got tipsy, and in between sips of the cheap wine in his hand, he’s laughing a little too loudly, leaning into anyone, mostly girls, crooning into the microphone that wasn’t even turned on
