i dont really feel like writing a journal entry, but Mandie would worry and think i was sick or something for not writing an entry after such an exciting weekend haha. by the way, she is beautiful. stupid fisher.
well we won the Brookwood Classic, with a score of 94.5, while pope in second got a 93.7. this was the first time theyve given out money for winning. our band collected a total of $2100, which we really need cause right now, there is no trip to GN. we are that far in the hole, its ridiculous. but we'll get it anyway we can dont worry about it. were still going. didnt mean to scare you
i had a short conversation with alex heerman after we preformed. and it ogt me thinking. i dont really care that we won. BOA has spoiled me to the point that these local competitions seem frivolous. all i have in my mind right now is making top five at BOA, and finals at nationals. i didnt really care about brookwood. i cared at lassiter, cause harrison was there; we will be competeing with them in two weeks at, you guessed it, BOA. we need to find some harder local competetions. with people that can stomp us. its really not that fun knowing that your basically gonna auotmatically get first or second place. that why im excited about grand nationals. so many bands are going to be better than us, and its going to give us new goals, and eventually new thrills of trying to achieve higher placings where the odds are against us. i like having hte odds against me. it makes it more fun when you do better than you thought you would.
