Onward/outward
The time has come for me to once again pack up everything relevant to me and drive off into the wilderness of southern New England. It's going to be really weird living on another school's campus. Knowing all the nicknames for their buildings. Especially Williams. Williams is this strange mirage that beats us in every sport, and then pops its collective collar and...stuff. Sorry, Mindy. I know it's not really like that. :)
Today I went to the mall (gasp) to get new shoes and other odds and ends for my coming sojourn. I went into Filene's to see if maybe I should buy some clothes. I was immediately so overwhelmed by hate and disgust for large commerical clothing outlets that I started to feel queasy and had to leave. These kinds of stores are usually kind of round and circular. They have mirrors everywhere. The long and short of it is that it's impossible to figure out where you are in relation to the exterior and mall exit, so you walk in a circle trying to find your way out, all the while choking on perfumey air and listening to horrible white-washed pop blasting from the store's speaker system.
I also bought Final Fantasy X-2. I heard it was pretty lame but it was on mega-sale and Xenosaga 2 was $50, so whatever. We'll see how it goes. I wish they still made good RPGs. If there ever was a time for it, this is it.
