there are many many good things here and frankly I just kinda want to roll around in this fic. god michael can be such a shit and yet it just makes you (and david apparently) love him even more. all of the character voices were fantastic. carly! carly who will always get her way no matter what. (I believe this to be canon btw.) loved the picture you painted of michael's family.

I have no doubt whatsoever in Carly's ability to just steamroll over objections with the sheer power of her Carlyness. It's a thing she does. And also in Michael's ability to be a complete and utter shit without meaning to, but getting away with it because he doesn't mean to, and would totally be willing to beat Todd to a pulp in the street if Carly ever needed him to do it. (He wouldn't hit Kim because, you know, female. He would spread the most awful rumors to TMZ about her, though.)

I can just SEE Carly and David being all worried and protective of Michael in a situation like that, even if he is acting like a total shit :p

And despite of the heartwrenching angst, I laughed out loud quite a few times, too.

i love it, i love that david was oblivious to michael, and you know that drunk!michael is my favorite. and there are so many great lines--like a family member ecstatically running to let another know that the coma patient is waking up, whenever they managed to get that rarest of creatures, an actual day off, drinking always seemed to ensue, oh and the bit about michael-with-boobs had me laughing. definitely made my plane ride better bb.
