I just want to say that the division of this region profoundly offends me. Like, PROFOUNDLY. idek what they were thinking. Pennsylvania with NY/NJ and not including Delaware, DC, or Maryland?! COME THE FUCK ON NOW. Okay, I'm done.

Name/pseudonym: Maja! It is my name, and I like to be called by it. Pronounce it like Maya, or Maja of The Sounds if you're in bandom. (It's nice to have someone in bandom with my name.)
Location: DC metro area, specifically the Maryland bit of it, even more specifically Montgomery or Prince George's County (home and school, respectively), EVEN MORE specifically Montgomery Village or College Park.

Top five fandoms (you may or may not be active in): Bandom, Harry Potter, Criminal Minds... uh. I do not keep up with ANYTHING, so this is hard. Can I stick Once Upon a Time and Grimm in here just by virtue of actually being active in the shows even if not the fandoms? Really, I'm totally un-fandomed right now have been for ages.
Other fannish things you enjoy: I am getting back into the hang of writing short fics for memefills, so that's nice. I will also sometimes get into a fic-reading mood and go on a spree there.
Non-fannish things that you enjoy: Goddamn, where do I start? Well, I love to write and I do it all the time (my standing goal is 1k a day, even if it's crap, and sadly a lot of it does tend to be crap). I play the cello and I love that! I love photography. I love skiing. I like socializing in alcohol-involved settings? I love to travel. I love learning languages (though I'm lagging on that recently, sigh). I love baking -- I do it a lot and I've recently started cooking, too! I love... office supplies? And cute things! And... I'm sure I'll think of about ten more things once I finish posting this!
Favorite local hangouts + things you enjoy about where you live: Hmmm. I wouldn't really say I hang out anywhere locally, unless you count my university... The main thing I love about living where I do is being so close to DC. I think DC's a fantastic city -- a ton of free museums, a huge artistic culture (theatre, art, music, etc.), loads of fantastic food... and while the people can kind of be assholes, I don't really ever feel a sense of entitlement or snobbery of anything, which is great. My favorite places in DC are the museums (I'm a nerd) and the Red Velvet Cupcakery, which is like Georgetown Cupcake's less overrated/crowded younger sibling. omnomnom. *___*
Anything else?: I am a social-anxiety-ridden Serbian bisexual graduate student of criminology with a cohabitating boyfriend and an enormous tendency to enjoy squealing over cute things and/or cute people. Let's be friends!

Social network(s) of choice aside from LJ (link or don't link; it's your choice): Pretty much just Facebook, which I'd rather not friend you on unless I talk to you at least a little bit regularly. And, uh... that's it? Wow. I am pretty behind on the social network train.
How do you use your LJ?: 99% real life! I've gotten a bit better at regularly updating (I tend to be if I have a meme to do; otherwise you're liable to not see me for three weeks and then get a MONSTER LIFE UPDATE). Now that I have two new shows/am keeping up with my others, I also will review those!
