Bright
Mir thinks Yoseob is just too bright. He shines and sparkles and makes the SHINee boys look miserable, because they could never be as shiny as the blonde member of Beast.
Seriously, the guy is not even that pretty. Mir knows he's more attractive and the fact it doesn't really help annoys him ever more. He tries to find a reason why everyone seems so dull next to Yoseob and finally he decides it must be his hair - it makes his head look like the baby sun from Teletubbies, so of course people around him become shadows. Then he realizes the whole idea sounds like something Joon would say out of the blue.
He wants to bang his head against a wall.
Yoseob makes him feel like Beast are really his enemies. He wants to find their weakness and destroy them. Really.
Once Joon makes fun of the horrible engrish in "Bad Girl'". It's not like your English is any better, you stupid bastard, Mir thinks and laughs with him. Later he puts a dead cockroach on Joon’s pillow and it absolutely has no connection to him making fun of Beast.
He's surprised when Yoseob walks up to him and asks him if he'd like to go out with him. But for some reason, the idea of refusal doesn't even cross his mind and he nods his head, grinning at the beaming blonde.
"Want me to ask the others?"
"No." Yoseob replies brightly, clings to his arm and drags him out of the dressing room.
It's kind of weird; they're having lots of fun, but it's Yoseob who talks and talks and talks, and Mir is unusually silent, only laughing at the blonde's jokes. He's finally willing to admit that Yoseob simply amazes him. He's not sure if he likes it. It's impossible for him to dislike the guy but he feels strangely out of place around him. Like he's not himself.
He wonders if he becomes a shadow around Yoseob.
Mir is absolutely sure he doesn't have a crush on Yoseob.
"Hey kid, what's up with you recently? Did you fall in love or something?"
Mir is also absolutely sure he hates Joon.
They go to Everland together and Yoseob runs around the whole amusement park, way too excited about every ride.
"Wow!" he shouts happily at a big rollercoaster and he lets out the exact same "wow" at a pony carousel and Mir wonders if the guy is really older than him, because he suddenly feels all grown up. He's not sure if he likes it; even though he's smart and quite mature for his age, he’s used to acting childish, because well, he's the maknae. However, it's just impossible with Yoseob; if both of them acted so stupid, they'd probably end up buried under the ferris wheel with all their limbs broken.
He feels a bit sick after riding the biggest rollercoaster and they go to the mirror room to have a strange face contest, which makes all his facial muscles hurt. But Yoseob is being too bright and cute, and he insists on stuffing Mir's mouth with cotton candy and he laughs at his face and looks so happy Mir can't really be mad at him.
Still, he is almost convinced Yoseob is just a little kid, so he's surprised how big and strong his hand feels when he grabs Mir's hand and refuses to let it go.
Yoseob makes Mir want to call him weird, stupid things. Really, really stupid, embarrassing things. Like... like sunshine.
It's horrible and Mir is afraid it's going to slip out of his mouth in the blonde's presence, so he sits by the kitchen table repeating the word in hope to get it out of his brain.
Joon overhears and tells the others he's actually not the biggest idiot in the band.
Unfortunately, the others agree.
Is it okay to keep on meeting him or am I really just an idiot?
He stares at the ground between his feet but unfortunately it gives no answer.
"Yo." he feels someone poke his forehead, and he looks up, smiling at his friend's face.
"Hey."
"Today~" Yoseob begins, sighing and looking up at the sky with a big smile. "Well, today I have the biggest confession in the world to make."
It's just like him to be so straightforward, and Mir's heart skips a beat when the blonde looks down at him.
"I want to tell you that... how can I say it... umm... well..." he pauses and Mir tries to focus on breathing. "I think... you're kind of like sunshine to me." the blonde's voice sounds very warm and affectionate and Mir... well, Mir gapes. And gapes some more until Yoseob raises an eyebrow at him, obviously waiting for some kind of an answer.
"I thought... you're the sunshine." he finally says, frowning. There is a million thoughts running through his head and he just can't focus on one.
His friend laughs, a warm, wonderful sound that makes Mir believe the world is a good place and all of the million thoughts suddenly find their existence pretty pointless.
"Well... that means we're in love." Yoseob says and leans down to touch his face and he softly brushes his cheek, looking down at him, his eyes full of feelings that make Mir believe Yosoeb is actually older, and not a kid, and maybe it will be alright to act cute around him.
And then he kisses him.
It's warm and gentle and makes Mir feel all tingly inside. He smiles into the kiss; he finally doesn't feel out of place around Yoseob, because this is the only place he can imagine in the whole world, and he knows it will be okay to be just himself.
He opens his mouth to deepen the kiss and it feels, well, like sunshine.
"Honestly." Joon says. "If you keep on staring at the window with that disgusting dreamy face, you will make me sick."
"Oh, bugger off." Mir replies, uncaring.
"But it's disgusting. Stop acting like a schoolgirl in love."
"Oh, bugger off."
"You're so fucking gay. I swear I'm gonna be sick."
The next day Joon gets the swine flu and Mir wouldn't ever admit it, but it makes him believe there is justice in this world.
Blackout
When Byunghee sees G-Dragon on TV, he sometimes wonders what it would be like to wipe that annoying smile off the boy's face. Not that he really feels like doing it, or that he would ever get a chance. It's just pure curiosity, definitely nothing that could bother him for more than a few seconds.
If asked, Byunghee would probably say G-Dragon is a good artist. After all, he's also a celebrity now, and he should respect his colleagues. However, personally he thinks G-Dragon is overrated. Sure, he is talented, but not as much as his fans would like to think. If he really was such a genius, he wouldn't have to copy other people's songs. He is a good rapper, but there are better ones out there. He has a sense of style and he has the courage to wear whatever he wants and act like he doesn't care what people think. But Byunghee thinks an ability to ignore everyone's opinion isn't a good reason to admire someone.
He doesn't like the boy, that's all.
He meets GD backstage after Inkigayo performances. The boy is standing next to a drinks machine, leaning against a wall, his eyes fixed to the floor. When Byunghee walks over to the machine to buy himself some water, G-Dragon doesn't even look up. Byunghee decides to ignore him as well.
The bottle falls down with a loud sound and the blonde suddenly sighs, pushing his hands into the pockets of his sickeningly colorful jacket and gazing up at the other guy.
"That's gonna sound really emo" he announces, cracking a bitter smile. "but sometimes I think no one understands me."
Byunghee isn't sure what is he supposed to do with that confession, so he just opens the bottle and takes a much-needed swig of water.
"I mean- well, yeah, everybody feels that from time to time, but for me, it's like... I know it's not their fault. It's that... man, I'm just too weird." he laughs and his eyes sparkle and he looks sad but still, so, so cute. "And guess what, I came here just to buy water, but I forgot my money and so I ended up standing here and wondering if my life makes any sense at all. Can I have some?"
For a split of a second Byunghee thinks G-Dragon asked him to bring some sense into his life.
He wants to laugh... but he doesn't.
"Sure." he hands him the bottle and the blonde drinks half of the remaining water. Byunghee thinks he must have been thirsty. He also thinks that, after all, GD is just a very young man. Sometimes he can feel lost. Besides, the whole plagiarizing affair is just a bunch of bullshit. And A Boy is currently number one on Byunghee's ipod playlist.
All of sudden, he feels confused.
"Thanks." G-Dragon gives the bottle back, smiling brightly at him. "Um... you're from that new band produced by Rain? G.O, right?"
"It's Byunghee."
"Oh." GD gives him a small nod. "Nice to meet you, then. I'm Jiyong." he says, as if he really believes he needs to introduce himself. Then he waves at him, looking very much like a colorful kitten.
"See you around!"
And just like that, he's gone. Byunghee stares down at the bottle in his hands, remembering all the stupid things people say about indirect kisses. He snickers at himself inwardly and quickly empties the bottle.
For some reason, the water leaves a sweet taste on his lips.
Next time Byunghee sees Jiyong on TV, he wonders what it would be like to kiss that adorable smile of his away. Not that he really feels like doing it or that he would ever get a chance. It's just pure curiosity...
I was supposed to post the last chapter of Top Scream. But I got distracted again... ahhh. Well. I just want to confess - I love G-Dragon. And I also think Yoseob is too bright haha. Anyone liked this? Please tell me what you think~ ^^
