i finally saw the sopranos finale which i thought was awesome, anyway this on some site which i guess makes sense
* In Season Two, Tony’s rival Richie Aprile tells Junior, “Someday, someone’s going to shoot that man, and probably when he’s eating onion rings, cause he’s fat and he does that a lot.”
* The diner in the final episode is called “Holstens,” which is an anagram of “Ton Less H” (Big Pussy was killed after being caught for dealing H), as well as “T’s S.O.L. (hens) “, which possibly implies that Tony’s luck had finally run out, and also implies hens.
* When Tony and Christopher are disposing of Ralph Cifaretto’s body, a “Journey’s Greatest Hits” LP falls out from under Ralphie’s wig, causing Tony to remark “That was so funny it almost killed me!” which causes Christopher to stare directly into the camera and say “Perhaps someday…it will.”
* In Season Four, Tony’s enforcer Furio grabs his lapel on an airport runway and tells him, “If you don’t learn to respect Carmela, you’re going to end up sitting across from her in a diner when you are shot!” Furio then tells everyone he looks a lot like Commander Data, and everyone agrees.
* The last two episodes have repeatedly stressed Tony’s love of babies and animals. We cannot rule out the possibility that a baby deer walked into the diner at the end, causing Tony to have a heart attack out of explosive joy.
* In the director’s cut of the lakehouse episode from this past season, after Bobby tells Tony about everything “going to black,” he then adds, “or maybe it doesn’t. Who really knows? But it will irritate the f*ck out of a bunch of fans of the television show that we are in right now.”
