I'm hoping when they file, they'll get rid of all of the high-dollar personalities, all of the DJs, and maybe get back closer to how XM was a few years ago.

I don't know what I'll listen to if satellite is not available.

Slacker? Pandora? Live365? Last.fm? There's a ton of choices in internet space, and with several cities planning Wi-Max, Blaupunkt (and probably others) are planning internet radios for the car. So there's your choice, along with iPod, CDs, etc.

Crappy service is crappy service and should not be rewarded. If SiriusXM isn't willing to fix the mistakes and just keep alienating their 20-million customer fanbase, then they deserve to lose people, just as other companies have in the past and will probably do in the future.

That may be mainly because Siri Canada and XM Canada are still considered and maintained as separate units, IIRC. Here in the US, it's a different story: while there is some outrage in regards to the pre-merger stuff, the larger outrage comes from the November shutdown of the XM deep and wide playlists and replaced by Sirius' "FM, only more annoying" shallow and narrow playlists. Several of my favorite shows on XM were replaced with stuff I cannot even remotely stand, and the only remote plus I have seen is that the XM new wave station (Fred) was replaced with Sirius' 1st Wave, which has a lot of DJs that I grew up with as a kid (and even this is debatable, as they talk a lot more than I remember them doing when they were on FM ( ... )

How does one go about locking in the current rates for a longer term? Do I have to prepay or something? (Right now I'm on automatic monthly billing.)
