I need a dream,
A constant escape.
But I’m stuck here,
In this dark place.
Eyes glistening with light,
My skin pales to white.

I need to love,
Something in which to care.
But I’m left here alone,
With only my nightmare.
Tears falling from my eyes,
Relieving this pain from deep inside.

I need an answer,
To this hurt I hold.
But everything is a mystery,
A constant confusion.
Where to run to when I need to hide.
I wander aimlessly through this maze I call life,
With no one by my side.

I need to survive,
Through my darkness.
But it’s hard to see,
Past all my tears.
Sadness soon to be falling.
Releasing the sorrow that’s calling.
