Summary: Donghae is an angel, Eunhyuk is a human. Eunhyuk loves Donghae but Donghae can never love Eunhyuk, he is an angel after all.
❧The Beginning
Eunhyuk walked out of the church his friend Siwon had dragged him to. The sun was shining high in the sky; the wind was blowing lightly over his face. It was a perfect day.
Absolutely perfect
Except for the fact that he was starving
"I'm so hungry" he complained out loud, as if god would appear in front of him with an answer to his plea. He was in a church parking lot so it wasn't that farfetched.
But of course his prayer went unanswered. So instead he got into his car and drove to the nearest market to pick up something to eat.
Once he had grabbed an inhuman amount of food and paid for it he headed back to his car. But before he could open the door he noticed the most devastatingly beautiful human being he had ever laid eyes on.
The man was slightly shorter than himself, with dark brown hair that fell perfectly over his face. He was dressed all in white, which would have been weird had any other person been wearing it, but on this man it seemed to fit.
He had a hint of a smile on his face, as if he was unaware of how intimidatingly beautiful he was. He looked friendly yet somehow so unapproachable. Eunhyuk felt as if time had slowed down as he gazed upon the mystery man.
Somewhere in the back recesses of his mind screamed that he shouldn't stare, that he should get into his car and not stand there like some creepy ogling idiot. But he was trapped.
The man had him trapped the minute he layed eyes upon him.
Eunhyuk was in love.
The man suddenly turned his head towards Eunhyuk. And it wasn't like he was looking at Eunhyuk, but like he was looking through him. Like he could see every sin Eunhyuk had committed, every act of kindness he had ever done.
Eunhyuk had read some manga about this once and at the time he believed it was all literary rubbish but now he understood. The man in front of him, the man he was staring at now was his soul mate.
Eunhyuk would have spent more time running the idea through his head had it not been for a loud bang and a sudden force that knocked him into the side of his car causing him to pass out.

Donghae frowned when the man hit the car door. He was certain the man was supposed to drive off; he wasn't supposed to be anywhere near the explosion.
1 person was supposed to die and 2 others badly injured.
That is what he was told.
That is what should have happened.
But somehow this human, this Eunhyuk had changed everything.
Eunhyuk had taken fates plan and ripped it to shreds.
Donghae was not prepared for this.
Scanning the parking lot Donghae formulated a plan. He had to act quickly as to not draw attention to himself. He walked over to the unconscious human and crouched down, bringing his fingertip to Eunhyuk's temple. As soon as the angel's finger touched Eunhyuk's skin he woke up.

Eunhyuk's eyes fluttered open. The first thing he saw was a blinding white light so he quickly re-shut them. The second time he opened them he was more cautious and as a reward he was met by the face of the man he was staring at before he had blacked out.
"What happened?" He questioned
"You were knocked unconscious" the man said
"Oh" was all Eunhyuk could say. With the man sitting so close to him he got a better look at his face. And just as he had suspected, the man was perfect.
"What's your name?" Eunhyuk found himself asking
"Donghae"
"Donghae" Eunhyuk repeated, liking the way it felt on his tongue.
"Yes?" Donghae asked, unsure of why Eunhyuk had said his name.
"Where you injured?" Eunhyuk asked with concern in his voice. Donghae did not understand why the human was asking him that, he wasn't the one who was thrown into a car.
Instead of answering, the angel just titled his head to the side, confusion marring his features. Eunhyuk thought it was too cute.
"You weren't injured were you?" Eunhyuk repeated, a smile playing on his face.
"No" Donghae answered slowly still feeling confused.
"Good" Eunhyuk said sitting up. He moved his arms around looking for any sign of injury. He had none.
"I feel fine" he said touching his head to make sure it wasn't bleeding or something.
"Of course you do" Donghae answered. He had healed Eunhyuk's injuries when he had touched him, not that the human had many to begin with.
Eunhyuk nodded and then looked around "What happened?"
"The generator exploded"
"Oh" Eunhyuk said looking at the chaos around him. Sitting next to Donghae he didn't feel the weight of the situation. He should have been freaking out but all he felt was at peace.
"Was anyone hurt?" the human asked.
"Yes" Donghae replied "1 person died and 2 were injured, you were knocked out cold" Eunhyuk turned to look at him, shock on his face.
"What?" the angel asked
"How can you say that so easily?" the human asked
"Because it is the truth"
"Do you always tell the truth?"
"I have to, lying is a sin" Donghae said so seriously that Eunhyuk had to fight the urge to laugh.
"Okay" he said and then his stomach rumbled "I'm starving"
Eunhyuk looked around, all the food he had just bought was scattered on the ground. In the vack of his mind he knew maybe he shouldn't care about it but he was still a little upset that he had wasted all that money just for the food to be laying on the ground.
He continued to stare at the mess for a few more seconds and then he turned to Donghae.
"Do you want to go get something to eat?" he asked
The angel looked at the human in curiosity. Normally a human would be freaking out, running around in a panic, like all th e other humans around them were. But Eunhyuk was sitting there calmly, worried about losing his money and being hungry. It made Donghae smile.
Eunhyuk took it as a yes and stood up.
"Come on then" he said looking down at Donghae.
The angel was confused "Where?" he asked tilting his head to the side.
"I know this great place just around the corner" Eunhyuk said offering his hand to the unsuspected angel.
And for some reason Donghae took it.
