_____________
The Beginning
----------------------

Eunhyuk sat down in the cold blue chair, placing his bag down on the desk in front of him. It was another day of school, if they could call this primitive garbage education. Where he was from they taught this stuff to children. It was the basics of the basics; you learned this before you even entered school. THe only thing Eunhyuk wasn't familiar with was History. He knew nothing of the history of Earth, for he was not born here.

He was from another planet. A planet far away from this one. An 'Alien' planet you might call it.

But there was a reason why Eunhyuk was now residing on Earth. It was the same reason he had to leave his home planet.

He fell in love.

He fell in love with his bond mate.

And under normal circumstances this would have been fantastic. But fate was playing a cruel prank on Eunhyuk (formally know as Hyukjae) For Hyukjae's bond mate was no other than the prince of his world. Donghae.

Donghae was perfect, beautiful and completely untouchable to anyone outside of royal status. And Hyukjae was NOT royal. In fact the closest thing to royal Hyukjae was, was the fact that he was training to become the royal butler.

Never in the history of his planet had a commoner and a royal ever bonded. Hyukjae and Donghae were the first.

The King and Queen determined that it was a mistake, that their youngest son was merely infatuated by the older male. So they sent Hyukjae away and forbid Donghae from contacting him.

But the connection to his bond mate was already acknowledged deep within his sould. And even if it was forbidden, Donghae and Hyukjae continued to meet.

Nothing could keep them apart.

Until one day the King and Queen found out about their secret meetings and planed to have Hyukjae killed.

Donghae was desperate and willing to do anything to save his bond mate, his love, his Hyukjae. So he devised a plan.

He would set Hyukjae free and help him flee the planet. But he couldn't go with Hyukjae. At least not yet.

If both Hyukjae and Donghae disappeared the King and Queen would search the galaxy for them.

But if Donghae stayed, stayed until the memory of Hyukjae was faded from everyone but Donghae's mind then Donghae could run. Could run and find Hyukjae on another planet where they would be free to love each other like they were destined to.

Hyukjae was skeptical. He didn't want to leave Donghae. But he knew it was the only way. The only chance they had at being together.

So Hyukjae left. He left his planet, his family and most importantly he left Donghae.

He left with a quick kiss on his princes' lips and the lingering words of love and the location of their future reunion; Earth, South Korea, Seoul

As quickly as a blink of an eye Hyukjae was gone. With an empty broken heart he landed on Earth and started his new life as the human Eunhyuk.

The day the lovers parted marked the beginning of Donghae's mourning. Even his eyes went into mourning; his eyes lost their natural blue glow. Donghae's ocean colored eyes glazed over with black, even the whites of his eyes were shadowed in the blackness.

But Donghae wasn't the only one affected. Hyukjae's icy blues turned an inky black. He wanted to mourn for his lover, but he knew he had to stay strong. It was likely that he was in for a long wait.

And wait he did.

Which is why Hyukjae or currently Eunhyuk was attending High School, he had to act normal. And normal teenage boys attended High School. So even though Eunhyuk wasn't normal and know where near teenage years he put on a fake persona and went to school.

Which is where Eunhyuk was now, sitting in the back of a classroom staring out of a window looking up at the sky.

It didn't matter that he wasn't paying attention to the teacher. Even if the teacher was to ask him a question, these primitive math equations were nowhere near challenging to his mind. And he wasn't the smartest of people back on his planet, in fact he was known for being a bit of an idiot back in school.

Eunhyuk continued to look out the window and up to the sky. It was something of a habit he had picked up. The sky on Earth was completely different then on his planet. For the sky on Earth was blue, which Eunhyuk found funny, the sky on his planet was red as was their oceans but on Earth theirs were blue. Eunhyuk kind of perferred Earth's blue sky. Blue was a rare color on his planet. But it was a sacred color. All of his kind is born with a different blue eye color. No two beings shared the same pattern; eyery set of eyes was unique. But the color of Earth's sky reminded Eunhyuk of Donghae's eyes, his perfect beautiful eyes.

Eunhyuk missed his icy blue eyes but he knew the color would return as soon as he was reunited with Donghae. And Eunhyuk waited patiently because he knew Donghae would come. He never doubted that fact. Donghae would come.

It has been almost 10 years since Eunhyuk has seen the red skies or been in contact with his family but most importantly, it has been nearly 10 years since he last saw Donghae.

But the image of Donghae had not faded.

Eunhyuk could close his eyes and see his bond mate perfectly. He could remember every feature, ever minor detail. He could also remember how it felt to touch, to hold, to love Donghae.

He remembered everything involving Donghae. And he doubted that even if he had to wait a million years that he would ever forget. Because his connection with Donghae was more than a simple crush or infatuation, it was a bond. A bond so deep, so imbedded into his soul that he would die before he forgot a single detail about Donghae.

And what was a few years of waiting when they had their whole lives to look forward to?

Feels like an Eternity
-------------------------------

Donghae waited. He waited for an opportune time to flee, but his Mother and Father were too wise, too all knowing. They knew Donghae intended to run, they knew the night Hyukjae disappeared that Donghae would try to run.

But Donghae was being patient, which was opposite of his personality. He knew the only way he would pull off his plan to escape was patients. So for Hyukjae, his Hyukjae he waited. He went through his days in loneliness, went through his nights in absolute sadness but he continued to wait. He held onto the hope that one day he would be reunited with his bond mate.

But the days were getting longer, the night even more so. Time seemed too long, too wicked, like it was playing a cruel trick and Donghae was the fool. But Donghae still waited. Waited patiently. Because Hyukjae was waiting for him and they had waited too long for him to break now.

Even when the days started to feel like an eternity, when the sun graced the sky for endless hours, when the moon lingered for countless minutes Donghae waited.

Soon months turned into years.

And then the years started to add up. Every day was harder than the last. Donghae missed Hyukjae, missed him more then he would miss the beating of his own heart.

But he never gave up.

He stuck to the plan.

And then one day the name of Hyukjae wasn't spoken in connection to his pitch eyes.

Slowly the name of Hyukjae was forgotten.

But Donghae continued to wait, he wanted there to be no remnants of the name he loved. He wanted the name to be so lost in their memories that they would have to rack their brains to remember it.

So Donghae waited.

Waited with a new found hope

He would see Hyukjae soon.

The significance of silence
---------------------------------------

Eunhyuk picked up his bag and stood from his seat. He moved with the bodies of the students and made his way to his next class. Science. Yet another pointless class for him. He knew every formula, every theory, every equation. But he forced a smile and walked into the class, heading to the back next to the window.

He was infatuated with the blue sky, with the knowledge that Donghae would fall through that sky to get to him. One day, one day they would be reunited. All there was left to do was wait.

Eunhyuk looked out the window to the sky, not even acknowledging the teacher when he walked in.

He tried to drown out the noises of the classroom. The blabbing of the teacher about a new student, the hust whispers of the students, the scratching of chairs on tile, the buzz of florescent lights. He hated how his hearing was so sensitive, so able to catch even the faintest of sounds.

But then he heard it, the sound of a door opening and a familiar foot steep that was a distant memory now.

Eunhyuk smiled when he heard that familiar intake of breath.

He slowly turned his head to the front. All noises ceased. There was only silence except for the sound of his heart beating in his ears.

His eyes flashed blue for a fraction of a second before they settled into a new brown when he laid eyes on the new student.

When you're lost to everyone, I'll return to you
----------------------------------------------------------------

Tonight was the night, the night Donghae was going to run.

He sat down at his dest and wrote a note. A note for his Father, Mother and brother, a note for Hyukjae's parents. A note explaining why he was leaving.

A note explaining how he hurt, how everything hurt all the time, even down in his sould. He found no peace when he was without Hyukjae. Without Hyukjae, Donghae only felt pain and sickness. He explained that if he didn't leave he would die, that his sould would shrivel up and disappear, that there would be nothing left of him. And that if they tried to separate them again he would kill himself because living without Hyukjae was like death anyways.

He placed the note on his pillow, grabbed a few things he couldn't part with and made his way to the loading dock.

With one last look at the crimson night sky and a final breath of his planets air he borded a ship. A ship that would lead him to his Hyukjae.

The reunion of parted lovers
-----------------------------------------

Donghae's black eyes reduced the closer he got to Earth, until on the irises were black.

Finding Hyukjae wasn't difficult, not when he had alien technology.

He went by the name of Eunhyuk now and he was attending SM High School. Donghae found his schedule and enrolled himself into the school.

Once he was freshly uniformed and registered he had already missed his first class. But Donghae wasn't concerned about school, from what he gathered Human's were nowhere near as technologically advanced as his race. He figured school would be a breeze. What he was really impatient about was seeing Eunhyuk.

He had to wait in the hall as the teacher made an introduction. Donghae wanted nothing more than to burst through the doors and run away with Eunhyuk to spen the whole day alone together. But he remained patient.

When the teacher finally called him inside he slowly opened the door and walked into the class room nervously. Not in all his years as a prince had he ever been so nervous. As a prince he was trained not to feel that way, but Eunhyuk could make him nervous.

He stood in front of the class, his eyes instantly landing on his bond mate. He took a quiet inhale of breath, it had been too long. He wanted to cry but he held it in. His tears could only be seen by Eunhyuk because if a human were to see his silver tears they would know he wasn't human.

He cold see Eunhyuk smile. He watched as his bond mate slowly turns his head to face him. Once their eyes locked Donghae's eyes flashed sky blue for a fraction of a second, settling into a deep chocolaty brown after.

The flash of blue was too quick for a human eye to see, but it wasn't too fast that Eunhyuk didn't catch it. Just as Donghae saw how Eunhyuk's eyes flashed an icy blue.

Silence filled Donghae's ears but he caught as the teacher told him to pick one of the empty seats.

Donghae moved with an elegance only a royal could, catching the attention of every single being in the room.

But Donghae's eyes never left Eunhyuk's. He walked towards his bond mate, ignoring the glances and offers of seats from the other students. There was only one place he belonged.

Donghae sat in the free seat next to Eunhyuk, their eye contact never breaking. Not even when the teacher asked if that was really the seat he wanted. Eunhyuk was known for not being very kind to his lab partners. But Donghae just nodded his head not even bothering to look in the teacher's direction.

The techer just shook his head and went back to teaching.

Donghae and Eunhyuk continued to look deep into each other's eyes the entire class. With the occasional flash of blue peaking through their now brown eyes.

Eunhyuk took Donghae's hand from under the table and trailed his thing fingers across the bright skin.

He missed just being able to touch Donghae. It had been too long and he was cusing that school wasn't even halfway over. He feared that he would have to part with Donghae when the class was over.

Sensing Eunhyuk's anxiety Donghae pulled out his class schedule and placed it on the desk in front of Eunhyuk.

Eunhyuk found it hard but he pulled his eyes away from Donghae and looked down at the paper. He smiled when he quickly read the contents. Donghae had every period with him.

He turned to look back at Donghae who had yet to take his eyes off Eunhyuk. Under the table he laced their fingers together and gave Donghae's hand a comforting squeeze.

School was made to torture
----------------------------------------

School had gone by slower and faster than it had in years. Slower because Eunhyuk had to wait until it ended to have a real conversation with Donghae, a real chance to look at him, to touch him. And faster because he was no longer alone on this alien planet, he had his bond mate. After nearly 10 years of waiting he was finally reunited with his lover.

By the last class of the day Eunhyuk was willing time to move faster.

He even counted down the seconds in his head. Donghae, who shared a telepathic connection with Eunhyuk smiled at his lover's childishness, that was usually his area of expertise. Not that he was anxious himself. He would sooner kill the entire school then have to wait for the class to end but he enjoyed just being near Eunhyuk. THe had waited nearly 10 years to be together what was another hour?

But as the class droned on Donghae was minutes away from fallowing through with his murderous plan.

Eunhyuk smiled a crooked smile at his younger lover, squeezing his hand in comfort. Three more minutes and they were free to be alone.

Except those three minutes were torturous.

When the bell rang signaling the end of school Eunhyuk let out a breath he wasn't even aware he was holding.

They stood up, grabbing their bags and headed out of the school.

"So" Donghae said once they were out of the school "where do we live?" it was a simple and innocent enough question but Eunhyuk's heart swelled out of love with the words. They would live toghether, them. The two of them in their own little home, away from the laws that kept them separated.

Eunhyuk gave Donghae's hand a quick tug--their hands hadn't been separated since their reunion--and pulled Donghae in the direction of his, no their apartment building.

"It isn't much" Eunhyuk said when he was stading in front of their door. He couldn't give Donghae a life like he was used to having. Even if they were back on their home planet, Eunhyuk could never match the lifestyle Donghae was used to as a prince.

"I don't care" Donghae said "as long as I was with you I would live in a hole"

Eunhyuk laughed while sliding the key into the door "I highly doubt you would live in a hole" he said opening the door and giving room for Donghae to enter first.

"I felt like I was living in hell for ten years without you, a hole would be welcomed as long as you were there" Donghae said, his eyes starting to rim with silver tears "I've missed you so much" he continued, tears falling down his face.

Eunhyuk walked up to his bond mate and whipped the tears away. Pulling him into a tight embrace "I'm here now Hae" he said "and I'll never leave you again"

Donghae clung onto Eunhyuk, gripping the back of his shirt. It had been too long a separation and emotions just seeped out as both Eunhyuk and Donghae stood in the center of the hall crying into each other's embrace.

At last, a place to call home
----------------------------------------

Eunhyuk and Donghae had moved to the couch where they let their fingers roam over skin as they rememorized every contour of each other's faces, every detail, every change.

Eunhyuk let his fingers run just under Donghae's eye, here in the sanctity of their home they were free to let their blue eyes shine "You have such beautifully detailed eyes" Eunhyuk complimented. Donghae smiled and ran his slender finger across Eunhyuk's jaw line "You're more handsome then I remember" Donghae praised.

Eunhyuk smiled and cupped Donghae's cheeks, pulling him close and letting his lips ghost over the younger's. Donghae shivered under Eunhyuk's touch. It had been too long since Eunhyuk last touched him like that. And it was the first time Eunhyuk could freely kiss Donghae without the fears of being caught.

Sure there was still fear that they would be found, but right now, in this very moment with Eunhyuk's lips pressed against Donghae's, nothing else mattered. There was no fear, no reason to hide, there was only Eunhyuk and Donghae. Eunhyuk and Donghae and how right and natural it felt. They felt like they were home. Because in that very moment they were.

Eunhyuk broke the kiss and looked at Donghae whose eyes were closed with an expression of pure happiness spread across his face "I love you Donghae" he said causing Donghae to open his eyes. Blue eyes swirling with love "I love you on this planet and any other planet we may have to run to. I'll love you forever"

Donghae's eyes filled with silver tears and a smile spread across his face "I love you too" he said "Even if this leads to our death, I'll love you forever" and then lip met lip, tongues dancing inside Donghae's mouth.

Everything was perfect

The wait was over

They were finally together and nothing could keep them apart anymore.
