Chapter 2

The terminal was fairly busy, but Lindsay hadn´t expected anything else from JFK. She was pulling her suitcase with one hand and trying to find her phone with the other, when she heard an “Oh my God you´re right, that´s her!”

Lindsay saw two girls approaching her and gave them a bright smile.

“Could we get a picture with you?” they seemed genuinely excited and Lindsay nodded, posing with each of them. She still loved her fans just as much as she had done it in the beginning, if not more, and she was glad whenever she could spend some time with them.

She signed two autographs for the girls and waved them goodbye when they left.

Now Lindsay had finally time to pull out her phone properly and turned it back on. She scrolled through facebook as she continued making her way through the terminal and stopped at a status Damian had posted just a few minutes ago.

Cameron had, of course, already commented on it.

Lindsay smiled and flipped back to her messages. She was so proud of her boys. It had been a while since Damian had won The Glee Project, but everyone knew that Ryan loved Cameron so it didn´t come as a surprise to them when he had asked Cameron to join the Glee Cast as well. Lindsay was excited what would become of them and their characters on the show.

She had done some modeling and one or two cameos in movies, but she missed the singing and had thought more and more about going to New York and maybe trying it on Broadway.

When Lindsay finally found the message she was looking for, she smiled again.

Lindsay had made her decision in a heartbeat, and sent her response without thinking. So she had instantly called Marissa and told her that it would be great, but only if she wasn´t bothering them.

Apparently she wasn´t, because she was in New York now and there was only a door separating her from Marissa. She was really excited to see the other girl again, she hadn´t seen Marissa since the premiere of Glee live, which wasn´t that long, but they didn´t really had the time to talk properly.

Lindsay walked through the doors and was greeted by the sight of lots of people, some of them waving with banners. There were some Paparazzi as well, Lindsay didn´t know if they were there because of her or if there was some other celebrity coming through as well.

She flashed them a smile as she saw someone wiggling their way through the crowd. Lindsay immediately recognized the auburn hair and grinned widely as Marissa flung herself at her. She spun them both around to break the speed, because being tackled to the floor probably didn´t look that great on camera.

“I missed you!” Marissa smiled as she pulled back and Lindsay nodded.

“Yeah, me too.” She replied before she was interrupted by one of the Photographers.

“Could we get a picture of you two together?” he asked and both girls smiled into the cameras, Lindsay wrapping her arm around Marissa´s waist.

They posed for a couple of pictures before Marissa led Lindsay to the parking lot.

“It´s so good to see you again.” She smiled and tried not to blush. She was just happy to see Lindsay again. She hadn´t even thought twice about suggesting that the other girl would move in with them. Just the thought of getting to spend lots of time with Lindsay had filled Marissa with excitement. They had been getting along really well from day 1 of The Glee Project and had just become closer since then.

The cameras hadn´t shown much of them together because everyone was interested in the bromance of the century, how Lindsay liked to call the relationship between Damian and Cameron. They had been ok with it though, they liked being able to talk in private and without being followed by cameras all the time.

Now that there weren´t any photographers around Lindsay felt more at ease as well. She smiled back at Marissa as she heaved her suitcase into the bunk and slid into the passenger seat.

Both girls hadn’t seen each other for a while but instantly clicked again. They talked about what had happened since the end of the Glee project, how much they had missed each other and their expectations for Cameron and Damian on the Glee.

“Did you see Damian´s facebook status?” Marissa asked as she pulled onto the highway and Lindsay nodded.

“Sure, they are so precious. You should have seen them last week when we were painting their apartment. Hannah and I left the room for a minute and when we came back they had paint all over their clothes.”

Both boys had wanted to move in together shortly after it was sure they both got a role on Glee. They were best friends and since their storyline would probably involve lots of scenes with each other it made sense to live together.

Lindsay thought it was a great idea, with the potential of being the train wreck of the century.

-

“We´re already on the island.” Marissa explained after a while. Lindsay snapped back into reality and turned her head to look out of the window.

They were pulling into a small village with old, pretty houses and a small park at the side of a bay. The trees were decorated with chains of light and Lindsay instantly loved it. It seemed very warm and welcoming, not as overwhelming as other cities, like LA for example, could be.

“Welcome to Northport.” Marissa smiled as she stopped at a traffic light. “This is our little town, there´s a nice bakery over there and the Italian restaurant next to it has the best Spagettie. We live about 5 minutes from here with the car. You can easily walk into town from there, it takes about 15 minutes. But don´t worry, we have Walgreens, Mc.Donalds and Starbucks right around the corner.” She winked at Lindsay who couldn´t seem to wipe the smile off her face.

“Actually, do you need something? I don´t know what my Mom is making for dinner. I should have asked you!”

Lindsay shook her head. “No, I´m totally fine. Whatever your Mom cooks, I´m sure it will be awesome. I´m just glad you guys are letting me stay with you.”

Marissa smiled as they passed the stores she had been talking about just a minute before.

“Linds?”

“Hm?”

“I´m glad you´re here.”

-

Marissa´s house was right at the end of a long street. It was a small, white painted house with blue windows and a blue door. The lights were already turned on and it looked very welcoming to Lindsay, just like the whole village did.

The moment they got out of the car the front door opened and a woman with the same hair color as Marissa hurried towards them.

“You must be Lindsay!” she smiled brightly and Lindsay had just a second to think how similar Marissa and her mother looked, before she was pulled into a tight hug. “Marissa has been talking about you nonstop, and we loved you on The Glee Project.” She pulled back again, still smiling and Lindsay felt herself blushing.

“It´s nice to meet you, Mrs. von Bleicken. And thank you so much for letting me stay here.”

“Oh of course Darling. And you might as well call me Mom now.” She winked at her and then hugged Marissa, who had pulled Lindsay´s suitcase out of the car and was now standing next to her.

“Come inside, Marissa can show you your room. It´s our guest room so it´s nothing special, but I hope it will do. My husband is coming home around 7, he´s working in the city, so he´s taking the train. Dinner will be ready around that time. I´m glad you´re here, Lindsay.” She smiled again and turned around, making her way back into the house.
