Well, let's start small!
First, the Yahoo! Movie page "update"! 'Twilight' has been featured!! More promotion for the movie! YAY!

Then we have Twilight on TIMES Online. It's another little article about Twilight/Harry Potter. It's not major on the comparing or which is better so don't worry. Actually SteMey had a few nice words about JKR. I dunno, it's a neat little read *shrug*

Cinematical a site that has been quite positive until just recently has asked us about Kristen. Let me warn you now that it isn't something like "What's her favorite color?" or "What do you think ofher last photoshoot?" Oh no, it's nothing like that.
The writer, Erik Davis, wants to know if Kris is the right actress to play Bella because according to him:
"...she always plays the disturbed, "I have several emotional issues that stem from my childhood" kinda gal. Not a bad thing, mind you, but I've never seen her give us an ounce of power, of energy, of anything, really."
And here's what he wants to know:
So here's a question for you fans: Do you think Kristen Stewart is the right actress to play your beloved Isabella Swan? Have you seen her other films? (Or maybe Isabella is a really boring person, because then Stewart would be excellent in the role.
*twitch* Can you imagine why I'm upset about this? I dunno how many of you have read my rant!post about people picking on KStew but that should be enough to show how much I really love and admire her and hate the she's always getting complained about or someone's bashing her, whatever.
I plan on writing a comment over there and telling Erik just how perfect Kris is to play Bella. I KNOW that people are entitled to their own opinion but come on, if you're going to scrutinize and criticize somene do your homework first. Not ALL of her roles have been emotional or conflicted. She's acted in so many other genres from horror to comedy and even family movies like 'Zathura'.
Also, why does it have to be the actor/actress's fault that they don't seem great or awe inspiring? What if it's the script? What if it's the director? It could be any damn thing!
What does he mean by:
" I've never seen her give us an ounce of power, of energy, of anything, really. "
Has he even seen the MTV Meet the Characters vid? He obviously hasn't because in the beginning Kris as Bella give quite a scream that's so raw and chilling that it gives me goosebumps! And her scream at the end is no different.
If that's not power or energy then I don't know what is. He also has no idea how much it takes out of a person to act conflicted or tortured. I'm sure you've all read the article about how Kris would be able to shed a tear everytime she did the take in a certain scene in 'Twilight' (I think the garage one where she has to leave Edward). It was stated that she would have to go off by herself to pull out the sorrow to make her cry and after she'd have to go off by herself to calm down and pull herself together. Then, Rob would eventually go over to her and give he a shoulder rub and comfort her.
It's ridiculous how people just keep trying to find something wrong with the movie or the actors. As Rob has said, Kristen is the best actress of our generation. She's amazing. She's only 18 and she works her ass off to put together a good movie. All I have to say is that she does her best, she works hard, she seems to love her job, she's got so much potential, she's beautiful, she's talented, and she's passionate about what she does!
She's damn good at her job and people have to realize that without looking at her flaws, because you know what? EVERYONE has them. She's the only one I ever have and ever will see as Bella and I have no doubt in my mind that she'll be excellent. Instead of bitching and moaning why not support her and believe that she'll be great? She's been voted for many things like the 30 Under 30 Actresses, is she'll be the next Jodie Foster, etc...she also has many fans SO that should tell you something, right?
She really does deserve more recognition and appreciation. Give her a chance, Erik, she just might surprise you.
*sigh* I'd like to rant more BUT! It's ROB'S BIRTHDAY! SO I have to be HAPPY!
