its a shame.
When my brother was a baby (he is now soon to be 8 in july) he had a lazy eye and the eye doctor had said he was farsighted. So they tried giving him glasses and what not, tried a patch and you know little kids obviously dont like weird things on there face... so he never kept it on. He has been wearing glasses since, but last week at school he had broken them at school so my mom made an appointment to get new ones.. it turns out hes legally blind in his right eye.
Its quite depressing... the doctor said they dont think they will ever be able to get the vision back because it is something in the eye that has already developed. My mom feels like its her fault because there was a 2 year gap were nothing was done about it.
All he said was "daddy i'll never be able to fly a plane"
and all the other typical things that little boys want to be when they grow up...
he'll never be able to be a policeman, he'll never be able to drive a dump truck.
and he says "its okay daddy atleast i can still be a football player"
but he cant see the ball =(
He's a couple months shy of 8 years old, and theres already so many things in this world that he wont be able to experience, or get to be.
its quite heartbreaking.
