US Xpress saves the day (almost!)
I got a phone call Friday from Progressive tell me I didn't get the job. Almost, but a guy from Dalton moved up from that office and took this job. Anyways. So literally 10 seconds after I hang up with Progressive, US Xpress calls me and asks if I'm still interested in the Fleet Mgr position because Mike Brumlow got his position approved despite the hiring freeze. The HR lady said that once he got the position approved, he went down to HR asking for my stuff specifically. So I should hear back Monday with an official offer and salary info and stuff. If I get the job I'll start a week from Tuesday and have my first pimp paycheck that Friday! Yay.
I already have a few small plans for the extra money. Me and Lisa are going to get good riding jackets and riding gloves. If I dump the scooter so what, but I wanna have skin left if I do.
This weekend was awesome. It was full of good friends, scooters, PBR, Falls City Beer, junk food, Austin Powers and jokes about Sandy Lewis.
