Soooo I haven't been keeping up with this in a long time. It's not that I haven't had anything to talk about, it's just that real life became too busy and too important to write about.
But just to have this here, since there are still people that will notice this that I don't talk to much anymore, I thought I'd update.
My dad died of February 9th. Even though we knew he had cancer, it was very sudden. As in, one moment he was sitting there eating a regular breakfast with my mom, the next he started coughing up massive amounts of blood and was rushed to the hospital. Within 8 hours I was standing over his body apologizing for the things I never got to apologize for, and praying that we would be able to come up with a funeral service he would have wanted.
I'm confident that the service was what he would have wanted. It was on Saturday, February 25th, and we are going to Big Bend to scatter his ashes over spring break.
I don't really have anything else to say.
Funerals are easy compared to actually living without the person you lost.
