I can write a crochet pattern if you don't want to, but I'll have to knit one first to make sure I know how to do all the shaping.

Do it now! All you have to do is one line at a time. I recently did my first pair of socks that way. The whole pattern was intimidating and scary, but I just followed along and BAM. I had a pair of socks. It's like magic.

As Jesso said, you should try it! It only appears tricky, but she's right, it's not so bad if you take it one line at a time. :)
