Sometimes I worry that a chapter contains too much srs bsns and not enough amusing similes. It is a fear that keeps me up at night. Or at least until I fall asleep.

Yeah, it's hard to balance it... Especially when what brought the fans was the parody/amusing similes. But in order to keep with the Parodying you have to develop some kind of plot to keep the story going.

I think the reason why this one is harder to Parody is because New Moon really was emotional whether you liked it or not. I remember reading the part where Edward leaves and then the Month chapters that had nothing in them, that actually made feel really sad for Bella.
