I started my job at the end of July. my gf at the time and i decided to keep a relationship going long distance. she moved to Idaho, i moved to DC. I've been flying once a month to see her, shes been doing the same.
I've been consistently working 60 hour weeks for no additional pay than the people working 40 hour weeks or less at my company. So I am quitting in 3 weeks. I'm going with her company. They will relocate me temporarily to another site, possibly salt lake city, Louisiana, or even north Dakota.
In august, we'll both be put on a project in Kentucky. We're engaged BTW. We're planning for a September wedding next year in Virginia. The new job will be coding, and will pay overtime. I'm waiting for something to screw everything up, because things are just going too well. I love her to death, things are just so easy.
I'm training for a stair climbing race in new york in January of next year. I've got a long way to go. I hope my knees hold up. I hope everyones lives are turning out the way they had hoped, or are at least on the path to get there.
Remember to use each day to its fullest. You are young. These days of your youth you will never reclaim. Live each day as it were your last. Love completely and explore and learn like a child full of imagination and wonder. Your life will become the sum of all of your experiences and relationships. Make sure you are taking advantage of the gift of life. Breathe the fresh air, taste the delicious foods and drinks, feel the warmth of your lovers skin, do something that makes you feel exhilarated. This will all end eventually; do not waste these days.
