now if only i could find something reasonable to say in my essay...

i get a lot of free advice from people, and i have a hard time accepting it, so i may as well share it with someone that might use it. half the time, that's when i realize i really should be using it myself.

but really, i don't think it's anything you didn't know already. you're a smart cookie and, like mary tyler moore, you're gonna make it after all.

you might be shocked to know this, but there is a big part of you that i see as strong and confident in a way i only wish i was. it's so strange to me that you see yourself in a much more unflattering light-- the lizzy i knew this summer, while certainly not perfect and certainly not without her own problems, was somebody i've always wanted to be more like.

i don't know if you'll ever understand that or believe that, but i wanted you to know it.
