Interview!

Aug 06, 2009 20:46

1. Leave me a comment saying, "Interview me!"
2. I will respond by asking you five questions. I get to pick the questions.
3. You will post the answers to the questions (and the questions themselves) on your blog or journal.
4. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the same post.
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions. And thus the endless cycle of the meme goes on and on and on...

1. You are given the reins of Angel season 6 by The Boss himself. What are your plans and how will you bring them to fruition?

Oh man, I am not sure I can fix all the crap that happened in season 5 without pulling a Dallas with Patrick Duffy coming out of the shower. And that is a total copout. I need serious help. First thing is first, I would call David Greenwalt up and I would beg him to please come and be my showrunner. I would get down on hands and knees and do whatever it takes. Then I'd call up Charisma Carpenter and apologize. Then call Alexis Denisof and tell him we are back, please play Wes again! The LA in Hell idea of the comics is probably the only direction you can realistically go so I think that is what it would have to be. Very post-apocolyptical world, survival, etc. I really hate that idea. So that is when we all sit down (and I mean everyone, actors to grips) and have a pow-wow to fix this mess and hope that someone more brilliant than myself can come up with a fix that takes the show back to what it was at the end of S1, S2, and the beginning of S3. I want it back to the Fang Gang, the family feel, the friendships and the asskicking.

2. If you could pick under which Caesar to live in ancient Rome who would it be and why?

This is such a good question and I had to really think about it. Most of the Caesars had good and very bad things that happened during their rule. But in the end, I had to go with Octavius (Gaius Julius Caesar Augustus, Gaius Octavius Thurinus, Gaius Julius Caesar, Octavian, Bob) for two simple words: Pax Romana. He ushered in a time of peace and well, he fixed the tax system. Sure, he was completely nutters, as was his wife, but hey, that is the price you pay when you are ruling in Rome. LOL

3. Do you believe in reincarnation, life after death, heaven and hell or any of that kind of faithy stuff?

Yes, yes, yes, and yes. :) I don't believe in organized religion, I believe organizations should bring people closer to each other, as a social outlet. I don't think that anyone needs a building or a person to get them closer to God or a universal being. I think that there is a universal light/energy, something that unites all people of the world. I think that every religion is right because it's all just explaining this connection between ourselves and the divine. And I think if you choose not to believe in a force that unites all people, you won't be punished for it. I think if you lead a good life, if you respect people and life, you will be rewarded. However, since nobody is perfect, sometimes you gotta make up for the stuff you did in this life. So yes, there is a place that you go where you are away from the divine, seperated from that connection, and that is Hell. How long you stay depends on how bad you were but the disconnection is the most horrific punishment, you can't even describe it. And once your time is up, you go to be with that universal being. Since there is only so much energy, eventually you have to leave the universal light and go back to a new body. It's not so much a second or third chance as it is energy cannot be created nor destroyed. Yes, my views are very strange and they are all my own. I would never ask anyone to try to figure out my reasoning. Everyone needs to find their own path. :)

4. If you could play any instrument in the world, what would it be and why?

My voice. I wish I could be an Opera Diva. Not in the throwing a tantrum Mirah Carey kind of way but a true Diva. I have always wanted to sing and I have the worst voice, despite years of voice lessons. My mother was a fantastic folk singer and it kills me that I never got to have that talent. Grass is always greener.

5. What is it that attracts you to a ship? Are there requirements involved? Have you noticed a pattern?

It's taken me a while to realize what it takes and basically it boils down to two things: Friendship and snark/taking the piss out of someone. And the reason for this? My husband and I. We started off as friends and we always snark on each other, poke fun, just have a good time. He puts me in my place, I put him in his. I am drawn to ships that are my view of love, which is what I have. I've had the kind of starcrossed lovers, pining for each other, and it doesn't last, it's not even that fufilling or happy. But friendship, a foundation, someone you can laugh with, cry with, eat a Ruben with, that is what is real love to me. And it's just as passionate, hot, and sexy as any forbidden love.
