wallflower
i was supposed to meet blaine for the album leaf show that i had been looking foward to for a month, but he called at the last minute and said that the police were waiting for him at his house and were taking him down to the station for truancy charges. wonderful. there was no way that i was going to miss that show, and seeing as i had no one else to call, decided to go by myself. i can safely say that this is the first "legal" thing that i have done, gone to my frist 18+ show. so i kinda sat in the corner and watched other people come in and saw the first two bands play from the side. then they had to take waya my piano bench so i stood up and watched two songs from the album leaf before i had to make curfew (heh..i still have curfew). from what i heard, they were amazing, it was all high tech with synthesizers and computers and a violin, i wish i could have stayed longer. i even got up enough courage to strike up conversation with this guy who's majoring in graphic design at utep. i found a friend of a friend to walk me back to my car and drove home in the rain. sometimes there are perks to being a wallflower.
