Got in touch with an old friend who I last saw when I was 16 today. Turns out he lives in Leeds, is now t-total, a vegetarian and practisioner of Buddhism so we have quite a lot in common there. I don't know what music he is into but maybe if I go stay with him we can go to a show or something, last time I knew him he was really into Hendrix but then, he was also a huge stoner so who knows?

Stupid contemplation...
Right, this might be quite a silly thing to be contemplating, but I can't really get it out of my mind. It stared when I was reading the Observer sunday magazine and there was an editorial about how men are the new Bridget Jones, and I got to wondering, am I single because I'm not proactive enough or are you not really supposed to have to look for a girlfriend around the late teens/early/mid twenties? I know the article was about men in their 30s and 40s who're still single and (according to the author) should be looking to settle down and not about students but anway, I'm at university, in theory there are loads of single girls around who I could potentially go out with, but then again, I've never gone for the typical girl most guys seem to go for. The girls I find attractive (enough to date) are few and far between. I don't know why I care really. I'm not particularly miserable or desperate for a girlfriend, but then, I can't deny it wouldn't be nice.
